hey! its the beach where the fight happened in quadraphobia!
Thats Brighton beach mate (about half an hour away)
funnily you mention it, that cliff you see was actually where they filmed the last scene in quadrophenia
Really ought to have a "Pictures of where you live" thread :v:
same for England because of how small this island is, but tbh British beaches are nothing special, they're pebbly, coarse, and the one time it's not overcast/windy/raining slightly they're absolutely packed with battenburg coloured landwhales and chavs
I find this especially hilarious because I once saw a pair of chavs walking side by side on the beach, one wearing pink tracksuit top and cream tracksuit bottoms while the other had cream top and pink bottoms
I had the amusing thought at the time that it was an actual walking breathing battenburg cross-section

Heard from a friend who's moving there that it's nicknamed 'God's waiting room'? Not sure if this is to do with the suicides or the fact that there's apparently a nursing home on every corner

No, its mostly because the towns population is mostly made up of old people. Lots and lots of them come down here to spend the rest of their lives here.
funnily enough I have a bunch of friends from the midlands that call it that too haha

We also got to go to Langemark war cemetary. It was pretty eerie being there because once we got off the coach the sun turned into a thunder storm and flooded everything.

I have lots more pictures, these were taking about 2 years ago. really nice trip, its a great experience if any of you get the chance. We also got to visit the lochnagar crater, which was caused by british detonating 24 tons of ammonal explosives under the german trenches during the first day of the battle of the somme
Isn't having visually pronounced muscles like that actually unhealthy as fuck? People that are actually muscular have a "fat" look to them like the Heavy in TF2.
it depends on how much fat they have on them and how hydrated they are.

Shame they only did it for the youtube views/subs and publicity.
At least a homeless guy got helped but kinda lost his dignity by being forced into becoming an attempt at a viral video (how could he say no to their offer in his situation) .
if people are doing good things, i dont give a shit if they're doing it for views or not, and i dont know why anyone would

I've been to Ypres too, did you go to the Dodengang? It's basically a trench that was made by the Belgian army at a canal to stop the Germans from advancing any further. To preserve it, they poured concrete on the sandbags.

Ypres has some great things you can visit, pretty much everything you can see there is worth a visit. Didn't really like the museum in the centre of the town though.
It's also really weird, because pretty much every building in Ypres is only less than a hundred years old.

I never got to go there, looks really interesting though
I did however go to the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial

some pictures I took -
This tree is a replica of an actual tree which stood in its place, it was known as the "danger tree" from wiki - The Danger Tree had been part of a clump of trees located about halfway into No Man's Land and had originally been used as a landmark by a Newfoundland Regiment trench raiding party in the days before the Battle of the Somme.[SUP][18][/SUP] British and German artillery bombardments eventually stripped the tree of leaves and left nothing more than a shattered tree trunk.[SUP][18][/SUP] During the Newfoundland Regiment's infantry assault, the tree was once again used as a landmark, where the troops were ordered to gather. The tree was however a highly visible landmark for the German artillery and the site proved to be a location where the German shrapnel was particularly deadly. As a result the regiment suffered a large concentration of casualties around the tree.[SUP][18][/SUP] A replica representation of the twisted tree now stands at the spot.[SUP][25][/SUP]
Nah man it's just that it's rather annoying to have to keep scrolling through it. I don't really have a problem with the one that was quoted, but that Pavel Petel one is kinda unpleasant.

when you say "camera glitch" you mean a camera that probably costs thousands, if not tens of thousands, being damaged.
Cleverly done Australian gay marriage video from a while ago, just thought I'd post it here because it's so nice:

It's not like all the shit they did for him cost $0, the total cost of it might not even be made back from the revenue of this video.
I don't see how he lost his dignity from this, they were helping homeless people and by chance they found this guy who no one could help because he doesn't speak English and they help him get back home.
