Where are you getting these locations from? I know for a fact that one is, or at least used to be, on a wall not far from Chalk Farm Underground station in Camden.
You guys should check out this girl ether

yeah it's pretty cool for video game footage, but the thread is for more general or exotic stuff. (even though that's kinda contradictory)

No 1366x768 but some closer sizes are there. Just crop one down a bit.

I remember reading somewhere that if this were to happen, it's entirely possible that earth would survive it, among other stars and planets.
probably wrong and complete bull, but I can't help but think I heard something about it.

there's something really creepy about the way it looks, altho the creepyness is sort of neutered by the fact that there's other land nearby. what would you do if suddenly saw this thing in the fog, out in the sea, where you don't expect to find any islands or other solid landmarks? i'd probably stop the boat and start praying to Cthulhu
Because of how much space is between the planets and stars, earth would probably miss all of them.
Plus the period of time this happens over is collossal, the sun would probably have become a red giant (destroying earth in the process) before it happened.

The Andromeda galaxy will collide with ours in approximately 4.5 billion years. At this point, the Sun will have begun expanding into a red giant, rendering the Earth uninhabitable, but it will not have exploded yet.
As a side note, the Sun is not large enough to go supernova. After exhausting its supply of hydrogen, it will begin fusing helium, expanding into a red giant (at its largest, it will be larger than the Earth's current orbit). After burning through all the helium (as well as other elements, up to iron) it will settle down into a white dwarf, which will survive for trillions of years.
However, you are right about the space. The odds of an Andromedan star coming close enough to the Sun to affect planetary orbits is literally astronomical.
That does not mean we're safe. While the Earth will still orbit the Sun, where the Sun will end up is anybody's guess. We could end up ejected into space, or sucked into a galactic core - neither of which are good outcomes.

Maybe we'll colonize and expand by then?
Or go underground?

If we haven't gotten to other solar systems by then, we'd already have been killed dozens of times over by asteroids or whatnot.
As an interesting note, the sun heating up like that would likely make Mars and/or certain moons of Jupiter habitable. Anyone still stuck in this solar system would be able to migrate to safety. Although once the thermal pulses start, I think it's time to GTFO of the system.
