"Got a little something special for that Deathclaw..."
Can't help but think of this.
it is clear now humanity is destined to become one big space-faring footbal hooligan pub crawl
Glad i wasn't the only one that thought of that :v:
Mechanical exoskeletons don't really have potential IMO. External artificial muscle is where it's at.
quite impressive result
Mechanical exoskeletons don't really have potential IMO. External artificial muscle is where it's at.
why wouldnt they have potential? they'd protect you way better than that artificial muscle you're talking about
Mechanical exoskeletons don't really have potential IMO. External artificial muscle is where it's at.
In combat yeah, but for heavy lifting (IE: Aleins forklift exoskeleton) they'd do their job really well.
I'm talking about them not weighing a ton and letting the user move relatively quickly
I'm talking about them not weighing a ton and letting the user move relatively quickly
Weight and agility aren't really going to be relevant when all it's doing is moving crates.

And regardless, who cares if it weighs a ton? That's the whole point of the thing is lifting heavy weight, it'd be stupid if it couldn't even lift its own.
Can we please just have at least one page without everyone arguing about robots?
Can we please just have at least one page without everyone arguing about robots?
could we go one page without you complaining about a discussion? Don't like it, then scroll past it. It's not a big deal dood.

You're underestimating the agility that exoskeletons could have depending on how they're built. I'm willing to bet that in the future, when we discover stronger and lighter materials, exoskeletons might be just as agile as artificial muscle, but with added strength and resilience. [editline]12th December 2013[/editline] Ok to compensate for yet another page of robots I'll post some cool shit when I get home
This is a thread for images, not talk. At least I post images along with my words.
But people are discussing the images which is okay in my unimportant books.

Well thats some dumb logic there bud. Any weapons platform that would need a exoskeleton to carry it, would be better operated from a stationary platform or a armored transport. Since I'm not allowed to talk here without posting an irrelevant image along with my post, heres a photo of a bandaid. [t]http://thumbs.dreamstime.com/z/band-aid-7224803.jpg[/t]

This is 'Auxiliary Pics', how are you determining what's 'relevant' and what isn't? If it's only things related to what has just been posted/discussed, there's never going to be any variation is there? Here's an auxiliary, relevant pic for you [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a6/Darial_Gorge_(1876-1920).jpg[/t]

They're all over the place here. The industrial revolution in the early 1800s made the stone black and dirty, so people grow ivy to make them look pretty again. They're a pain to clean because you need special permission and special expensive companies to do it because the buildings are protected for being so old (I once lived in a shitty student flat and the building was made in the 1700s lol), so they just let the ivy grow and cover it all up. Edinburgh, by the way.
Does the ivy damage the building's facade in any way? I wonder if the plant would grow into cracks and force them wider.
the plants can cause leaking
Either some of you are on Tumblr or you're on cool shit websites like stink on shit 'cause every time something gets posted in this thread (like the ant hill and the helmet camo) it shows up on my Tumblr dash not long after.
Does anyone have that .rar with folders full of infographics/guides and that kind of stuff? For some reason, i have a picture of an old Chrome error with a picture of Scorpion on it, and it's just sitting on my hard drive. (I dunno why it had a picture of Scorpion in the first place :x)
