Any idea what rifle that guy's holding is?
What year was that picture taken? Because the date looks like it says 1612, which obviously isn't true.
Thanks to you now I read up about NZ's climate. Shit i thought you guys have it all tropical there apparently it's fairly similar to western europe.
You know, when you really think about it, NZ really is just a thin, backwards Europe. At the northern end (my end), you have your Italian temperatures (and volcanoes, seriously), ranging from 30C in the summer to 10-15C in the winter. Next are your temperate central european climates in toward the center of the North Island, including Alpine ranges surrounded by pine forests. Then on either side of the cook strait (the bit seperating the north and south islands), you start getting your balkan climates with large coasts and nippy winds. Finally you get the rest of the south island, which is much like Scandinavia with snowfall, vast forests and a really long mountain range. And then there's Mt Doom smack in the middle of it all.
Any idea what rifle that guy's holding is?
It's an 1888 trapdoor.
What year was that picture taken? Because the date looks like it says 1612, which obviously isn't true.
the 16-12 is probably day-year. Not to mention Kea, the most badass bird to ever live. This one time when I was in Queenstown, a Kea walked up to me, noticed it was about to be run over by a bus and did a goddamn ninja dive out of the way before proceeding to casually stroll off and peck at some crumbs.
i still love this.

I took a few pictures while hunting. I was told I take the scenery for granted by friends when they visit here, and looking back on these pictures now I can see why.
