ISS038-E-020234 (24 Dec. 2013) --- NASA astronaut Mike Hopkins, Expedition 38 flight engineer, participates in the second of two spacewalks, spread over a four-day period, which were designed to allow the crew to change out a faulty water pump on the exterior of the Earth orbiting International Space Station. He was joined on both spacewalks by NASA astronaut Rick Mastracchio, whose image shows up in Hopkins' helmet visor.
If you look closely it wasn't actually taken by him, you can see the other astronaut in the helmet reflection. Still an awesome picture though.
What year was that picture taken? Because the date looks like it says 1612, which obviously isn't true.
1898
That man at the back is the exact image I see in my head when I think of the Japanese army
But neither did the helmets that were fielded later in the war, they were made to protect you from shrapnel, not from bullets.

Oh wait wooooww, I'm very stupid, didn't realise ballistic protection included shrapnel
Not that true. The dent in that helmet was left by a 7.92x57 out of an MG34. The helmets could stop the rounds, its just the issue was that the dents they left behind sometimes caused some nasty head wounds depending on the angle it hit at.

It is something I would expect to see on the back wall of a hottopic. Idk if you guys have those god awful stores in your country though.

Without the context it doesn't really make much sense but It's not just wordplay, it has a meaning. The point being made is that much of the working class don't really want a revolution they just want an improvement in living standards and that revolution is just a pipe dream of quixotic intellectuals with too much time on their hands. I'm not sure I necessarily agree with the sentiment, but it's not just the throwaway line of a graffiti artist.
The screenshot is from the 1973 film "O Lucky Man". It's a surrealist film about the pitfalls of capitalism but is also very critical of optimism and naivety. The film is technically sequel to the 1968 film "If...", which is about a revolution in a boys boarding school, which in turn is a remake/reimagining of the 1933 film "Zero for Conduct". "If..." is not however necessary to watch or understand "O Lucky Man".

If that is Lieutenant Winters on the right, I cannot believe how much he resembles the actor Damian Lewis.

Speaking of Band of Brothers, does anyone know when "Masters of the Air" is getting released?
