WWII British propaganda
WWII paranoia about spies and careless gossip is pretty hilarious, but understandable. Lines like "LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS" and the British on the look out for nuns with hairy knuckles because they might be spies looking for targets for bombing raids. WWII was a really messed up period in most every nation's history.
WWII British propaganda -img-
I got a whole load of postcards similar to these. Most of them were from the Imperial War Museum. Similarly related, and quite funny. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/QzxhlZj.jpg[/thumb]

Those B-2 bombers are really durable aircraft, even though they look extremely fragile. The B-2 sitting inside the USAF museum is one the USAF ran through stress tests. It's just a stripped airframe with no engines or any electronics. They ran the thing through stress tests to make sure it wouldn't fall apart in midair, and the wing only cracked after they pushed it past 150% of design specs, or till the wing was almost touching the ground Thats the new touch up they had on it to fix the crack. [t]http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/shared/media/photodb/photos/050321-F-1234P-015.jpg[/t] And thats the actual B2. The crest on the gear cover is from it's cold and hot weather testing which took place in Alaska IIRC. "Fire and Ice". heh. [editline]28th January 2014[/editline] Another cool aircraft at the USAF museum is a C123 nick named "patches" It was a agent orange sprayer during Operation Ranch Hand during the Vietnam war. It's job was to fly low, to the point where they were grazing the tree tops, and spray agent orange down to kill off all the trees and jungle and make it easier for troops to move. Flying that low is going to attract a lot of attention of course, so the C123's took a lot of hits during their missions. Patches took over 600 hits in her career and 7 crew members took home purple hears while flying her. Of course she got the nick name patches because of all the steel patches they riveted over all the bullet wounds. I really love the USAF museum, if you guys ever pass through Ohio you ought to check it out. It's real interesting.
(those are f117s) (edit:see 2 posts down losers)

oh i saw the dude above you talking about the f117s and nobody had been questioning the b2s durability so that was confusing.
