This is damn old so some people will have already seen it, but for those who haven't it's pretty damn spoopy.

They try saying "thank you" to their million subscribers.
Doesn't even sound like a phrase after 10 minutes.
Just thought it was interesting to see how far they would actually get.
They managed to entertain themselves slightly though, which I suppose helps if you're going to say something repeatedly.

Celestial Pearl Danios: recently discovered in 2006
to me seeing color photos from around those times always feels surreal somehow
to me seeing color photos from around those times always feels surreal somehow
color removes the distance
when I see a black and white photo: ohhh its been a while, times were a lot different back then.
color: this is from right now no? oh! a long while ago.
Yeah but if you take black and whites today the effect isn't the same.

I feel like the contrast is too sharp in today's b&w photos, they just looks artsy as opposed to old
[sp]i know nothing of photography so idk if contrast is the right word, i mean the black is too black and the white is too white[/sp]
Yeah but if you take black and whites today the effect isn't the same.

It's because B&W's are typically always suffering from damage of some form or other, whether it be damage from sunlight, cracks, wrinkles, or mold. And cameras from 60-70 years ago are, obviously, not going to be nearly as good as the ones we have today.

I have no idea if this is staged or not but it looks iconic as fuck. (Syria obvs.)

Also thanks for linking that site. They have some of Ito's stories that I've never come across elsewhere.

After seeing a bunch of images like this one. I got really disappointed when I realized the earth doesn't look at all that big from the moon.
It's more like

I find that cooler, reminds you just how big space is, and how far away you are from everything.

Since your suit is pressurized and most likely a clean suit, wouldn't your body be perfectly preserved.

So this image got me thinking, would it even be possible to decompose in space?
I thought your body had to be exposed to the bacteria in air to start breaking down? And obviously since space is devoid of bacteria and air, wouldn't a body be perfectly preserved?

Unless the inside of your suit is completely aseptic, you will still decompose after enough time.

No, your body is full of bacteria that'll happily eat away at your corpse if you die.
But there's another problem with that, the suit's sealed, and when things rot there's a lot of gas given off, so you might be more likely to find a burst suit and rotting meat splattered everywhere than a skeleton in a suit :v:
