That happens in caves too, with fresh and salt water. Apparently divers can mistake pockets of the clearer fresh water above the salt for air and take off their masks, drowning.

Probably needs a photo reference too, there's no way the artist could get the light reflections right just by looking at the objects and constantly moving around.
Sure it's impressive, but kinda pointless and not very creative
that's the point though, it's meant to be impressive
art is subjective, and some people like the effort that's put into something more than how creative that thing is
