It was probably F-15's from Eglin. I did my flight training over at the Destin airport across from Eglin, and my flight instructor was a former F-14 pilot who would always let me know when they were using AB's, assuming I somehow couldn't tell over the roar of their engines. .
I've also heard a story that a F-15 or a F-16 from Eglin went supersonic a few feet off the water in Choctaw bay, and it blew out some windows too. Don't know how true that is though.

The Civvie air patrol in Destin FL likes to run old MI-8's, and sometimes a Huey they got from Jamaica; they do sub 500 foot passes over the beaches during spring break, probably to blow the tops off girls there.
That reminded me of when i was on a motorcycle trip to see my great uncle, we were near Whiteman AFB(Missouri) and up in the sky was an A-10 Thunderbolt. I really wish i had a camera on my helmet, it was pretty low too.
I guess thats one cool thing about living between 2 AFB's and a Naval air base; seeing military aircraft on a daily basis. You'll see everything from V22's to F22's flying over Panama City, which is neat.

I would bet that the story about the blown out windows is fully true. I live in Tucson where we got Davis Monthan AFB and some reservists have blown out a bunch of windows to impress their buddies multiple times. I think the air force finished repaying people for their broken windows fairly recently too. Happened a couple times, a while back when a meteor flew right over we thought the sonic boom from it was a dumb ass pilot again.

I'm quite sure that besides the disabled Panther, all the damage you see in the pictures is because of Allied bombing, not because of fighting.
And I think the paratrooper picture was actually taken during training.
If their ABs were online, you'd have heard a sonic boom, they never use afterburners at subsonic speeds. Military turbojets are just loud as fuck, heard one take off from a military base, it was like 5 commercial jets all at once in one plane.

When I'm back home, I'm used to hearing at least 3 helicopters a day, and they're firing on the ranges most days. One of the hardest things to adapt to away from home was the lack of cracking in the distance. I was living near one of the busiest ranges in the UK though, as far as I know. Has a small mockup of a NI town, which was quickly repainted and redecorated to look Middle Eastern. :v:
Pretty cool, the place has speakers, cameras, pop up targets, pyrotechnics and such to mock up a chaotic scenario as the guy in the tower decides.

is it that parasite of a fetus
The foetus is the parasite!
Not sure why they did an MRI of the mum though, it's not proven to be harmful yet, but we still don't do pregnant ladies unless it's an emergency afaik. Pretty sure the source of the image was a US institution though, so maybe it's different there.

even though i like the idea of a fetus being a parasite, parasitism is by definition between two species, where one is feeding off (and harming) the other without benefiting it.

a fetus is just that. (except maybe not harming the host) but It lives off the mother without giving anything back.

I am fully aware, which is why it is a parasite whilst in the womb. Abdominal organs are compressed, it leeches resources, it causes pain, it restricts mobility, it has a chance of harming the mother during birth, and there are no benefits to having it inside. It becomes symbiotic a while after birth, which is where the emotional warm fuzzies and happiness come.
Not that I've got anything against babies, it's just a funny little technical thing. I've had a few doctors and lecturers say the same thing about the li'l parasites. (who cost something like £250k to keep from birth 'til they escape into the wild)

She was only a year old when her house burned down and her life was changed forever. Even though they got her out on time to save her life, they were not able to help her before she suffered from very, very bad burns to her face and body. She has never been to school because of the way she looks. Her family took her to every doctor and they all said the same thing. Nothing can be done about it. She had to live the rest of her life looking like this. After realizing she will have to live the rest of her life this way, she never left her house. She literally stayed in her room for 41 years. She has no friends, no social life, no self esteem, nothing. Until 2012, when she went to Gaziantep University Faculty of Medicine. She met Prof. Dr. Mehmet Mutaf.

What is amazing is that, She did not have a face transplant. Prof. Dr Mehmet Mutaf used her OWN TISSUE to reconstruct her face. Doctor used, cartilage and Bone taken from her ribs, hair from her head for her eyebrows, her skin tissue from her arm, also fat from her body to shape(3d) her face and finally used skin from her neck to make skin on her face. I hope I translated that correctly from that chart. This surgery was a great success for the patient and is hope for many other people who have suffered life changing injuries to their face.

This is her after her surgery. Mind you, her face is still swollen and recovering and will look much better than this.

I remember after Hurricane Ivan, there was just a drop from the highway to the beach which was flat, about a 20ft drop. I was standing on the edge as 2 UH-60s from the National Guard flew almost eye level to me over the beach, one trailing the other in pretty close formation. I had my camera out and on, too. Aimed it, annnnd hit the power button by accident. It was the biggest complaint that particular camera had, too.
Afterburners are pretty loud, but quiet compared to the what the engines sound like just after scraping the ground. Back in the 90's an F-14 was showing off after taking off, doing a split S or a loop or some nonsense. He was too low to complete the maneuver and crashed a block away from me, killing the pilot and radar interceptor, and 3 more on the ground. The best way to describe the sound before the explosion is imagine throwing a huge wrench into an F-14's intake while it's at full throttle and just listening to that grinding sound for 2 seconds. Loudest thing I've ever heard

And if I'm right, no one can attack them back because they are under US protection I think, mind that I learned that from polandball comics
