Imagine how prosperous the middle east would've been, had shit not gone to hell and back.

This article was pretty cool, got linked to it by SCOR. [t]http://i.imgur.com/UWTqOMT.jpg[/t] Chicken! [t]http://i.imgur.com/zsR813N.jpg[/t] Goldfish! Look at 'is li'l bones! They're x-rays that have been turned into something a little more artistic. That said, there is art in taking a perfect radiograph too, though some of my lecturers claim that digital radiography is removing a bit of it. More images in the article, including penguins, dachshund, seahorse and such.
Related, the first X-Ray image in history, done of Wilhem Röntgen's wife's hand. She remarked, "I have seen my death."

I know I never post anything but medical imaging here, but it's fascinating, so here we go. A cardiac MRI! From birth until death, constantly moving, hopefully!

it's kind of sad how few native Americans I've seen in my life. it's weird sometimes when you're driving and think about how an entirely different group of people were here not too long ago
What happened to the indians is traic and depressing.

I think smiling=untrustworthy way back then or something
This seemed fitting for page 141.
I've always wondered why so many old photographs feature people being so stoic.
It's because of how they took photographs back then. It's not like it is now with modern cameras where it takes a few miliseconds for an image to be captured on a piece of film or stored digitally. Way back when, photos took up to 15 minutes to take, so people had to sit very still, and smiling for 15 minutes without moving your face at all is fucking tough as shit. Thats why everyone always looks so bored in old photographs. [editline]27th February 2014[/editline] It's also why you get insanely creepy photos like these

Looks like some kind of shock therapy. Looks like wires running up to his head and his body shaking from the shock

Then you head out east where $100000 can buy you half a block of homes.
I found a website that procedurally generates classicish music. It comes with a shit ton of settings to alter parts of your composition, like overall tone and other specific stuff related to music. http://www.abundant-music.com/
