You must really hate furries then.

I'm a butterfly.
Nobody suspects a butterfly.
This is highly damaging to the bees by the way.
Wrong, the Nepal people only do this on a festivity once a year, wherein they only harvest what they need/want and then ignore the bee's the entire year after.
It's the industrialization and tourism that have come to the site that are destroying the bee's.

No matter how shitty it gets, wear that retainer afterwards too.
No matter how shitty it gets, wear that retainer afterwards too.
This. I have a few friends who basically threw away all that time/money getting braces because they couldn't bother to wear the retainer and their teeth shifted back. I had braces and I wear a retainer, you only need to wear it at night so I don't understand what the problem is.
Brush teeth before bed -> Pop retainers in -> Sleep. Wake up -> Take retainers out -> Brush teeth. Guess it would be hard for some people who aren't used to regularly brushing their teeth or just really really lazy.
My ortho was a bro and put permanent retainers in, so 3 years of complete disregard for my teeth later and they're still flawless
No matter how shitty it gets, wear that retainer afterwards too.
My retainer got harder to wear over time because two of my wisdom teeth were coming in and by the time I got them extracted I couldn't wear it anymore at all. Now my bottom row of teeth is all fucked up again so it was only mostly a waste of the five years (not an exaggeration) my awful orthodontist had me in braces.
I spent 6 months in braces, got perfect teeth, and then couldn't deal wearing the disgusting retainer every night, so I lost most of my progress. Upper teeth are mostly the same, but the lower compressed a lot.
The braces are the easy part. It's the "wear a retainer for the rest of your fucking life" part that you need to come to terms with before you decide to get braces or not. My 8th grade self wasn't very good at making decisions. It's not difficult to remember to put it in, unless you have an irregular sleep schedule like me, but it definitely ruined those weird late-night thoughts I normally have, and I couldn't handle it. "You only wear it at night" means more to some people than others.
Had braces for 2 years. Never wore my retainer afterwords. One tooth is kind of falling back but I keep forgetting and put off getting it checked out. It's been a few years since I got them taken off.
I have a permanent bottom retainer that'll stay in till I'm about 25 I think, plus a top retainer I have to wear for about the same amount of time.
I've never heard of someone having to wear their retainer "forever", you might have to double check that.
Oh yeah I got a bottom retainer too but it's kinda been crumbling away slowly. Again, keep putting it off and forgetting.
I wore my retainer for a couple years, but I slowly stopped using it because it made my mouth feel absolutely disgusting because my saliva would get up inside in and dry, not to mention I had to keep getting shit to clean them with. If they weren't such an annoyance it would be a lot easier to get in the habit of doing.
I haven't worn them in about two or three years now and my teeth have only moved back slightly.

By design.
My teeth are all perfectly straight, except for a small gap between my two front teeth on the upper row, but it's not noticable enough to fix imo

Yeah, but then she's like the main face of the brand and everyone think its sexy on her. Somehow.
I remember this mascara commercial that used to show all the time where at the end of it the model would whisper all sensual like "get the London look" and then smile to reveal a massive hideous gap in her teeth, and I always thought it was the funniest shit.

And now I feel even worse for neglecting my retainer. My teeth are way better than they were before my braces, but now I feel some of them pushing off to the side to the point my retainer doesn't fit.
God damn it I'm stoopid

i think this varies quite a lot for different people, but at least for me, i stopped wearing a retainer after about 6 months, then my teeth moved back towards their pre-braces position a tiny bit over the course of about two months, and just stopped there
now a few years later retainer definitely doesn't fit any more, but teeth still look good and aren't going anywhere

Yeah, mine seem to have stopped, but I can't tell if they stopped entirely or are just moving very slowly :v:
But still, it's enough that my teeth feel uneven, and while I'm used to it, it still annoys me from time to time. As long as it doesn't get any worse though.
