i was reading up on siege warfare and came across this 16th century diagram of a star fort (an anti-cannonball structure basically). it's from the Cyclopædia.

it's like someone took the "shrimp" out of "mantis shrimp" and left the rest, colors and all
also, more stuff from Cyclopaedia. note the now extinct Dodo, Horseshoe crab, extremely small microscopic things like sperm, and a rough map of the Moon's light side, among other things

early concepts for storm troopers had them carrying light sabers and shields.
That would have been so fucking rad.
At least they'd have less of a chance of missing at that range.

Took me a sec to get whats happening, but when I did I got chills. That's amazing.
Do you have any idea how it was done? I almost want to say it's some kind of software that simulates aging, but at the same time it's so realistic looking I want to say it's a picture taken every year.

Software these days are so good it wouldn't surprise me if it was.
It has to be software, notice the hair style never changes. a source would be cool though to verify
plus the little color swatch in the top left corner
Their deaths and failures are mostly attributed to them not living by the Mandalorian code. For mandalorians, when they come to an age where they can put on a set of armor they make their own suit out of Mandalorian iron (which can deflect most blaster bolts and lightsabers). But both Boba and Jango cheaped out and made their suits from Durasteel which is useless against lightsabers.
Sure, according to Karen Traviss who quit writing Star Wars EU because she directly told by her editor told to turn the Mary Sue rating of Mandalorians to something realistic, like you know, being able to die and stuff instead of always winning the everything ever through "cause Traviss said so".

It's canon even if you don't like the writing. Quit whining about EU.

You're right about the hair. It has to be software.
Either that or somebody with photoshop had plenty of free time.
It's software that interpolates between many pictures of women of the same family to make it look like the life cycle of one person.

No, it isn't. Her writing was the first to go, and Chee will be evaluating the rest for scrapping over the next year.
The only one whining here is you.

Anyone care to explain how making it shaped like that protects against cannonballs?
