Gripping his feet/holding his hands is probably him reacting to cramps. When you overexert yourself in water, your feet and/or hands tend to cramp up really bad. As for [sp]ripping out the fingernail[/sp] I'm not sure

Chernobyl was such a creepy disaster. You look at that picture and you see what they all saw, a building which had clearly exploded and was smoldering on the inside, but was otherwise rather benign looking. But just standing near the debris for a few minutes is all you needed to suffer a slow and painful death at the hospital over the coming days.
One of the class that went onboard the South Korean ship that capsized. Really eerie, knowing they won't return.
