Take comfort in knowing that that was not a random drop of seawater: they had to draw that much stuff there on purpose. Also, I'm not so sure the picture is not a composite. The scale is not right. The blue crab larva is probably ~4000 micrometers long, whereas the diatoms, the rectangular things with spots, get up to ~200 micrometers. The crab larva should be 20 times larger at least.
