I question why you need three traffic lights in the middle of nowhere.

The photographer may stand on a crossing.

His point is, traffic lights are never placed in places with low traffic, and that photo looks like it's in the middle of nowhere, low traffic areas usually just have stop signs.

And they're also not wearing woodland, which is the camo pattern that their MOPP suits were issued.

Doesn't have to be small scale, they could just build a copy of the entire Earth on Jupiter and not even notice it.
Fire glass does not burn, but retains heat and refracts light as a result of burning gas. Fire glass (like artificial logs and stones) is additionally used to obscure the gas plumbing inherent in gas fireplaces or stoves.
Yes, fire glass is real
No it doesn't produce more heat than wood because it's just a way to cover up gas lines in gas fireplaces

Am I missing something here?
Glass is SiO2 - already oxidized, so unless you're burning it in fluorine you're not going to get any reaction from it. And if you *are* burning it in fluorine, please let me know so I can make sure to be on a different continent when you do so.
"Fire glass" is a thing, but as far as I can tell it only refers to filler used in gas fireplaces to radiate the heat better (and look badass). So fire glass of that type produces *no* heat, and could be used with really any fire.
While natural gas does burn cleaner than most wood, it is non-renewable and so it is not really an "environmentally friendly alternative", particularly compared to an efficient wood-burning stove. Biogas is renewable, but isn't really widely available at a consumer level.
So am I missing something? Did someone create a burnable product and call it "fire glass", or did whoever made that image completely misunderstand what it does?

It's just another one of these images done by people with bare knowledge of a certain subject to attain popularity.
