The hp to kg curb weight ratio is an astonishing 1:1.
This means for every kilogram of car, there is one horse worth of power behind it. It does 273mph and did I mention it looks badass? by luigi russolo it's a shame that a lot of industrial art is overshadowed by the sort of shit middle-aged moms and dentists hang up because a lot of it was trying to communicate the widespread sadness and anxiety of the time
One:1
To me this car in itself isn't really interesting, it doesn't have the groundbreaking hybrid powertrain of the LaFerrari, P1 or 918. However the way it was made is fascinating. They were able to use 3D printers for a lot of the parts because it was made in such low numbers. There are five videos on the /DRIVE channel on youtube that detail some of the process behind the construction of the car, they're worth a watch if you're into cars and/or innovative production methods. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFFD91AD4D4953FEB [editline]16th June 2014[/editline] For instance the way they made the seats is really cool. First they modeled the seats on a computer, nothing unusual, and then 3D printed a seat (a bit unusual). Then they put it in the car, and modified the actual seat they had to accomodate for the changes they wanted, grinding off material here, adding material there. Then they 3D scanned that and put it back in the computers, altered the model a bit, and 3D printed this. Rinse and repeat until satisfied. With 3D printing and 3D scanning, they were able to combine digital and analog testing and modifications, which is pretty much unheard of for that specific application.
iirc it's one ps to one kg, so a hair less than 1hp:1kg. still very impressive however
official website states 1 hp to 1 curb weight kg.
official website states 1 hp to 1 curb weight kg.
ah interesting, i went off the wikipedia page, so yours is probably correct. strange though that the koenigsegg site says 1hp:1kg, but then says it's output is 1MW, which is 1360PS, which is 1340 hp. you know what it is, metric hp is the same as ps, so we're just lost in translation. one metric hp (ps) is 0.986 mechanical hp [editline]16th June 2014[/editline] hi zanpa, france uses metric hp, americans use mechanical hp, GB uses either/or, so you would consider it 1360hp, i would consider it 1340hp, its the same thing.

Either way the difference is pretty negligible and in practice it's always going to be very close to 1:1 but never 1:1
I see. Either way the difference is pretty negligible and in practice it's always going to be very close to 1:1 but never 1:1
It's an incredible car, I can't wait to see some videos of it in action.

While we're posting planes and sportscars, I might as well post this: [t]http://cdn-www.airliners.net/aviation-photos/photos/3/6/3/0596363.jpg[/t] [t]http://pcwong.files.wordpress.com/2008/07/piaggio-p180.jpg[/t] The Piaggio P.180 Avanti. Since the company was acquired by Piero Ferrari in 1998, it's the closest you can get to an actual plane-ferrari.
The Saguenay Flood (French: Déluge du Saguenay) was a series of flash floods that hit the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region of Quebec, Canada, on July 19 and 20, 1996. It was the biggest overland flood in 20th century Canadian history. -- Over 8 feet (2.4 m) of water ran through parts of Chicoutimi and La Baie, completely levelling an entire neighbourhood. Over 16,000 people were evacuated. The official death tolls were seven deaths, but other sources (notably Canadian Geographic) cite ten. Estimates reach CAD $1.5 billion in damages, a cost made greater by the disaster's occurrence at the height of the tourist season. -- A small white house (referred to in French as La petite maison blanche, "The little white house") that stood unharmed while torrents of water flowed around it became the symbol of the flood. It has been preserved as a historical park and museum commemorating the flood, and despite a fire in 2002 remains standing today.
Probably insane water damage on that house though.
and the fact that you can see beneath the foundation doesn't exactly bode well
