Good god, who still uses Willy Pete? [editline]17th July 2014[/editline] Oh the Jews, I was gonna guess them.
US Officially uses it to get rid of equipment in an oh shit scenario, unofficially they launched willie p tank shells into buildings in Falujah. Israel totally doesn't use it whenever they feel like it and don't have a large inventory of it or flechette shells.
So what does WP do to you? How does that white gas burn you up, how does that entire chemical process work?
So what does WP do to you? How does that white gas burn you up, how does that entire chemical process work?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_phosphorus#Effects_on_people Basically it sticks to your skin and burns to the bone (in some cases).
Unless the artist intended that to be for sea travel in addition to space travel, I can't help but point out that the bulbous bow is completely pointless, as are the draft marks Just bugs me. But aside from that, it's a super cool piece of art Edit: Didn't understand what it's from, nevermind
IIRC the bulb houses and helps amplify the radars.
As neat as the design is, I just can't help but think that it's so easy to attack that ship from below, unless I'm missing something about it.
Not much more difficult than from above. Thing is all those big turrets are artillery lasers (pretty sure that's not the correct terminology but oh well). They're not used to destroy fighters. But whatdya know, it's space warfare, there's not much that can get much closer than 500km to her and surprise her from below. There's plenty of time to position the ship correctly to respond to threats coming from different angles.

Instant nostalgia. With a hint of bitter taste of defeat.

That is the nicest windows sound I have ever heard. Is there any way to make my win8 use that sound at startup?
There's a workaround involving making a scheduled task that runs on startup http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-play-the-logon-or-startup-sound-in-windows-8-1-or-windows-8/ It was taken out of the usual routine because the system would delay booting while it fucked around setting up playing the thing (and yes there is a checkbox in the sound dialog in control panel but there's no option to customise the sound used)
Swedish bullet train after a collision with a child who wondered onto the tracks jk it was actually a moose.
You might need more than a spatula to scrape that off.
I thought it was just the little square at first, and then I saw the windshield
You might need more than a spatula to scrape that off.
Looks like the windshield wiper did a pretty good job where it could. Seems like cleaning would be fairly easy, bigger problem I see is that the buffer looks to have been damaged.
Swedish bullet train after a collision with a child who wondered onto the tracks jk it was actually a moose.
When it's a moose it's okay but apparently it does roughly the same thing when it's a person. Screen covered in blood and stuff. So if you were planning suicide by getting run over by a train, don't forget that you will scar the conductor for life. Not good. Find another way. [editline]18th July 2014[/editline] also maybe don't kill yourself?

Only one that lived up to its expectations was crystal meth. Look at all them crystals.
Is adrenaline really considered a drug, when your body produces it naturally?
Cocaine is produced from a cocoa tree. THC is produced by a plant called marijuana. Drugs is a pretty vague term in itself, but yea there are chemicals that alter our behavior that are naturally produced. Some cacti can make you trip balls too. Testosterone is naturally produced, doesn't stop us from injecting more to build muscles.
I was under the impression that a "drug" is a chemical added to your body which it normally doesn't have. I wouldn't think testosterone as a drug, either.
A drug is a chemical that induces behavioral changes. Whether it is getting you pumped up and excited like adrenaline/caffeine or chilling you out like THC, if it changes how you act without control it is considered a drug. Just because it comes from inside of you doesn't mean it is not a drug. Hell, puberty itself is an example of how the chemicals in your body are potent drugs, you have mood swings and emo hair cuts and other shit that only someone with a shitload of chemicals fucking with their brain would do. and yes testosterone is considered a drug, if you inject it you will be banned from competitive sports under those grounds it is a performance enhancing DRUG.
