I'll always regret not seeing it in IMAX.

For those curious, this is "Solomon", a fictional Kaiju character in the Godzilla NES Creepypasta,
Considered a "classic", since the writer spent hours making meticulously designed pixel art to go alongside the game screenshots. It went downhill at the end, but much of the story is engaging by the wonderfully intricate art style.

Boy does it go downhill towards the end. Ridiculously so.
It's time to learn a little bit about
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/58/Roy_Chapman_Andrews,_1913.jpg[/t]
Roy Chapman Andrews
Born: 26 January, 1884 in Beloit, Wisconsin, USA
Andrews was an American explorer, adventurer and naturalist, who became the director of the Museum of Natural History.
However, Andrews was most notable for his expeditions across the world, mainly into the northern provinces of China, and the harsh Gobi Desert of Mongolia.

Dinosaur Eggs
Originally believed to be Protoceratops Eggs, Andrews was the first paleontologist to confirm that dinosaurs would lay eggs, and had physical proof to go with it.
When Andrews passed in 1960 due to a heart attack, his death caused ripples amongst the scientific community. He is since buried in his hometown of Beloit, Wisconsin.
Many, however, believe that Andrews was the inspiration for the character 'Indiana Jones'.
He wore a fedora, carried a revolver by his side, was terrified of snakes, and would do anything to get to his treasure, including gunfights with robbers
Regardless of beliefs, it is downright fact that Roy Chapman Andrews was arguably one of the best paleontologists in the world, and will continue to be remembered for years on end.

Ohohoh damn, that is a great piece of art.
It really paints a scene (no pun intended) of this person's life.
The architecture resembles something Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern. The crumbling home suggests a poorer district of their living area. The crushed soda cans next to the laptop show a person who spends a lot of time researching, which is echoed by the maps and various scribblings.
Then I noticed the pipes. The wires. The organized, unopened bottles.
It's beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing this.
I might be wrong but that picture screams 'terrorist' to me
cloverfield is great and fuck anyone who says otherwise
I wanted to like it, but man I can't stand found footage.
Everything else was p good, though.

Are we sure? What if they're underneath an oppressive regime and have a boot to their neck?
That's the beauty of this piece. Freedom Fighter or Terrorist.
We won't know.

United States Marines, 1st Division, in Korea, early August, 1950. Unbeknownst to them, they were on a march into hell itself.
On November 27th, American 'X Corps' (Including 41st Commando Royal Marines and KATUSA RoK Forces) were ambushed and attacked by the Chinese People's Army.
The fighting quickly dissolved into a slug fest, as winter settled into the area.

The UN and US forces were unable to hold their positions, and had to retreat. The Chinese, though victorious, suffered horrendous losses, with over 47,000 dead compared to the UN/US 1000.

I always found this sort of depressing. A military never makes back up preparations. "The war will be over by Christmas" says the 5 star general at the time, and 3 years later the war rages on and soldiers still don't have adequate winter clothing and thousands lose fingers, limbs, and lives to the cold. The Americans saw it happen at Bastogne and heard testimonies of what happened on the Eastern front to the Germans and Russians, but they went into Korea and suffered the same shit.
I blame MacArthur.

2) It's she, jackass.

It's constant dumbing to shoot down whenever I want to post content that I want to post. When I see a post that I don't like or don't care for, I don't fucking rate it dumb in an attempt to drive that content out, because I know other people want to see it.
Quit being a prick and let people post what they want instead of being inconsiderate.
Less nerd tears more pictures. Take your petty bullshit to PM's if you want to cry fucking ratings. jfc you people are ridiculous.

Most mosaics remain, actually, though many had to undergo restoration. The ones that were destroyed, however, most suffered due to Earthquakes or water damage, as opposed to outright removal.
