The "Photos that shook the world" thread lasted a long time
Yeah but only the first quarter of it was actually photos that "shook the world". The rest was either random auxiliary pics photos or pictures of war carnage.

In the relentless damp of Meghalaya's jungles, wooden structures rot away too quickly to be practical. Bikini Atoll atomic bomb test
Bikini Atoll atomic bomb test [t]http://i.imgur.com/N88sNYS.jpg[/t]
Speaking of Bikini Atoll, I'd like to point out their flag: It's designed like the flag of the USA to show that the US still has an obligation to the people of Bikini Atoll, since many were relocated and had their homes contaminated by all the nuclear testing. The three black stars represent the islands which were destroyed or damaged by the 'Castle Bravo' nuclear test. Quite an interesting story, I feel.

My favourite dog? My very own labrador. My silly, adorable, and very old puppy who I love dearly and will miss greatly when she leaves us in the near future.
Bikini Atoll atomic bomb test
I always liked this photo of the Bikini Atoll testing. It really brings into perspective just how powerful nuclear weapons are. See that black shadow on the right side of the mushroom cloud? Thats the USS Arkansas, a 27,000 ton battle ship being toss through the air like a paper ball.

They were dropped there to support mountain infantry. Early German paratroopers were bad ass and effective. The battle for Fort Eben-Emael is truly an epic testament to how badass those guys were.
I took some pictures around the Two Harbors and Duluth area in MN last weekend at my uncle's wedding. It was cloudy all weekend and that's apparently normal, but it was 20 degrees cooler than the Twin Cities area so it was nice.
Just imagine the sheer volume of nutrients a creature that size would need to consume. You can justify literally anything in fantasy with something like "magic" or "life force" or some other shit. [editline]27th August 2014[/editline] It's got a high Midi-chlorians rate in it's blood so it doesn't need much for nutrition.
You both are missing the point of my post. Whether it's actually sustained by magic or something like that is irrelevant. I was just saying imagine how much it would need to consume if it were an irl creature that size.
