Life or death? Officers and soldiers in the Kovel Pocket! Your last hour comes! What are you hoping for? The promised relief from the outside? In vain!
Pamphlet dropped by the Soviets into the Kovel pocket. The 5th SS Wiking division was encircled in the Ukrainian city of Kovel. The Soviets were trying to force the Division into surrender, because the Soviets would suffer severe losses if they tried to fight a prolonged battle, as the Wiking division was known to fight fiercely. Not long into the encirclement, the Division forced a gap open with an assault from a few Panther tanks and the Division was able to safely withdraw. I just thought this was interesting because you don't see a whole lot of the Soviets asking the Germans to surrender when they clearly have the upper hand.
Is that legit? It looks so perfect
No way that's how they make all those signs
I could see that being the norm is a less developed country, but I'd imagine in the UK and US (etc.) that they use stencils
It looks like the paint dries nearly instantly, since he steps on it like just behind the roller and doesn't leave a spot or have yellow footprints. Weird.

And speaking of miniatures, I went to the Queens Museum during the summer where they had the world's largest miniature of NYC (at least I think it's still the largest).
