not that thing again
you can't put 40k ships in a chart like that since they don't have any 100% confirmed official sizes; same goes for some of the bigger Star Destroyers

However they do have fully confirmed official quantities of awesomness, therefore with the right formula it is possible to convert the density of awesomness per ship into the physically proportionate sizes.

you know it gets intense when the weapons that would be considered WMD's in our warfare are the regular ammunition, and their equivalent of WMD's level the entire fucking system
only a matter of time before someone reposts that picture of the huuuuge star destroyer with the letter from a fictional officer talking about how terribly impractical it is.

Most people I've seen has started recognizing the rogue trader sizes as the official sizes.

Something a bit different:
I find the extent to which some pieces push performer's technical abilities to be quite interesting.
Piece is Gaspard de la Nuit by Maurice Ravel (performer is Marc-André Hamelin):

This is considered to be one of the hardest, most technically challenging suites for piano (especially because of the final movement, scarbo which has very fast repeated notes). Even the middle movement, le gibet, has very difficult chiming chords which often clash with the other rhythms.
I find looking at the sheet music to visualise what they're actually playing helps appreciate the talent of the pianist -- as well as the composer. This piece is up there with Balakirev's Islamey along with the works of Alkan, Beethoven, Liszt and Rachmanninoff; though Ravel set out -- and some say succeeded -- to compose a more technically challenging piece.

For some reason my post is being weird.
where are those stated? i don't got any RPG rulebooks, or rulebooks in general
The rulebooks have stuff like approximate crew size, weight, length, width, main(non point defense) armament locations, possible armaments, unique ships, etc. From pretty much every single faction.
Like let's take a Tyrant class cruiser:
Dimensions: 5 km long, .8 km abeam at fins
Mass: 27.2 megatons
Crew: 90000 crew, approx.
Accel: 2.4 gravities max. sustainable acceleration
The Tyrant’s design was designed at the end of the 38th
millennium around the principles of superfired plasma
weaponry. In the attempt to give the Imperial Navy a warship
with a powerful, long-range macrobattery broadside, the
Tyrant was developed.
Early versions mixed short and long-ranged plasma
macroweapons, in an effort to reduce total power draw on
the ship’s reactors. However, the firepower at long range
was unspectacular enough that the Navy began retrofitting
Tyrants with longer ranged weaponry recovered from space
hulks or disabled renegade warships, in order to boost range
without boosting power draw.
The cruiser is popular amongst Rogue Traders who can
afford it, although they often replace the superfired plasma
weapons with less space and power intensive macrobatteries.
Speed: 5 Manoeuvrability:+10
Detection: +10 Hull Integrity:70
Armour: 20 Turret Rating:2
Space: 77 SP: 61
Weapon Capacity: Prow 1, Port 2, Starboard 2
A Soviet spy laughs at his executioner in a picture taken in Rukajärvi, in East Karelia, in November 1942.
It has been thought within the Finnish Defence Forces that the decision to withhold pictures of the fate of Russian POWs and spies may also have been prompted by concerns that pro-Soviet elements in Finnish society could have used the images for propaganda purposes. This picture was declassified by the Ministry of Defense of Finland in the 2006, with the description: Unknown Soviet intelligence officer before being shot. Finland, in 1942.
It’s a pretty amazing picture. To capture the last few moments of life. He knows he will die in a few seconds, in a forest in the snow. And there he will bleed out and be forgotten. His life, his experience, has come to an end. What else could he do but smile? That smile was is final Defiance. Death smiles at us all, all a man can do is smile back.
If I knew I was going to be executed I'd probably try and punch the guy in the face or escape. I'd probably die either way but at least I'd have done more than just stand there.

Nah, him smiling was the best thing he could have done. He knew he was being photographed and it shows that he was willing to die for his cause, and happily do so. Very chilling to see how fanatical the Soviets were.
Abandoned boy holding a stuffed toy animal amid ruins following German aerial bombing of London.
“I was told he had come back from playing and found his house a shambles—his mother, father and brother dead under the rubble…he was looking up at the sky, his face an expression of both confusion and defiance. The defiance made him look like a young Winston Churchill.
This photograph was used by IBM to publicize a show in London.
The boy grew up to become a truck driver after the war, and walking past the IBM offices, he recognized his picture.” - Toni Frissell
The Finn's were also real fuckin' mean to the Bolsheviks during Talvisota.

They would find bodies of frozen Soviets, and then prop them up to scare off Soviets. I've even heard that they would use them as road signs.
Sounds like the Finns have a really dark sense of humor.
