French soldier shows off scars received from artillery shelling during the first World War.
That's some pretty neat color footage for something that's ~100 years old. I mean, just look at the tree in the background, you can actually see the green in the leaves.
Poor kids of London, early 1900s

well it was a pretty good take on a world war 2 shooter to be honest, I dont care if its COD but it was genuinly a pretty good game.

Yeah. I really love that first one. I'm not sure which MoH it's from but I was looking at some concept art of it earlier.

I am pretty sure it's from Frontline. That had the best art imo, I can hardly find any of it though.

You mean the kid inside looking through the window to check out the photographer?
I hate to ignore the instructions like this, but what the hell is that? Is that a mask or something? Or perhaps a strange dust collection?
Cameras way back then were shit, so if you wanted your picture taken you had to stand still for a little while before the photographer could get a decent picture. So if someone popped in or popped out of the photo, or didn't stand still, it creates a sort of ~spooky ghastly~ image. The kid in the window probably popped his head up for a few seconds before the cameraman toldem to fugoff.
So, one hilarious thing that came about because of that, was mothers and grandmothers wanting to get photos of their children without any adults in the photos, but their shitty little kids wouldn't sit still for the photo. So they'd dress up as a chair or drape a blanket over themselves to disguise themselves and keep their shitty kids still

Had to crop it, if you try to scale the whole thing down it just turns into a pile of artifacts
what do you use for cropping gifs?
Just GIMP, it imports .gifs as layers, then saves them back

Some bodybuilders from around 1900, these were before steroids which came around 1940:

Note the lack of chest, a big chest was seen as a feminine trait so was undesirable. Compare those to a modern bodybuilder where steroid use is the norm:

My headteacher presented an assembly a few weeks ago talking about turn-of-the-century Britain and how different it was. The way it was would probably be considered a very developing nation nowadays, far worse than India. Parents would keep their kids inside a lot to make it less likely for them to develop deadly illnesses, which is why they'd have half a dozen children or so. The lack of free healthcare meant that these kinds of people just couldn't afford any kind of healthcare- bandages if they were lucky. This kind of thing carried on right until the NHS was established. And honestly, I hope it never goes.

the story behind it is that these people bought a old house that was roughly a billion years old and had a lot of murders in it, and the new family wanted to take a picture in their new/old house before dinner. When they snapped the photo, a body fell from the ceiling. ~spooky~
