From what side to what side?
Obviously from fighting along side the Germans, to then fighting them after signing a treaty with the Soviets.

Wasn't that a part of the peace treaty though?
I am totally fine with switching sides as long as we don't have to fight the Soviets anymore. Even though we defended ourselves good against the Soviets, had that war gone on for any longer we would've lost.

As far as I remember, the Soviet-Finnish peace treaty didn't allow for Germans to remain on Finnish ground, as they could continue to launch attacks against the Soviets, so Finland had to force them out as they didn't want to go voluntarily. IMO the only interests Finland supported during the war were those of Finland.

The Germans were in the process of leaving when the Finns attacked them. The Germans had even made countermeasures before the Finns swapped sides to initiate a mass evacuation, even going as far as building roads. The treaty just didn't give the Germans enough time to effectively gather all their men and equipment and leave.
push out the germans who might burn down the northern wastes while retreating, or face the threat of another soviet attack that would certainly crush your country
it's not that hard a choice really. they weren't ready to leave just yet? well that's too bad for them.

We should be more thankfull of Jupiter.
How so? I mean, in a cosmic sense, all the matter that formed the asteroid belt would probably have been already part of our planets instead of posing a threat to Earth in the form of meteorites. Or at least I would think.

Jupiter's gravity helps keep it all in a nice, organized belt instead of swinging all over the place. Note in particular Jupiter's trojans (highlighted in green) - they're attracted to Jupiter's L4 and L5 points.
It's actually a theory by scientists looking for extrasolar life that such a planet might be necessary for complex life to evolve. Without Jupiter, we'd definitely be hit more often by asteroids and comets.

Because tasteless videogame references make you sound like a spergy twelve-yearold. They aren't funny. They will never be funny. When you do this you reduce the topic to a trivial feign at being relateable.
We get it you play videogames and use videogame accessories. good for fucking you.
This right here is the Clonycavan Man.
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6b/Bog-body_Clonycavan-Man.jpg[/t]
He died a few hundred years BC, probably murder considering hes got a broken nose, has an axe wound in his skull, and was tossed in a bog. His body was preserved so well that the hair on his head is still intact. He was probably buried, or at least died, entirely whole and intact, but a piece of farm equipment drove over his body at some point and sliced him in half.

And then we got this guy here, the Old Croghan Man. This dood lived like a king, regularly eating meats which was obviously a luxury 2500 years ago. People must have hated him though because they stabbed him in the chest, took his head off, and cut him in half.
First I was wondering why the first dude was bronze, then I noticed it was leather and was like woah thats a nice leather jacket. Then I read he was murdered and was like huh... Who'd let a leather jacket go to waste... Then I full sized it and notice... He WAS the leather jacket.

I didn't think he was trying to be funny and I was under the impression that he was just reminded of that specific image, but whatever. I didn't even noticed that the photo was from Battlefield 3 and thought is was just an artsy photograph until I checked the filename.
I wonder if you could make a handbag out of them.

I was just recently reading a book about the ISS, even had pictures in them on some pages, showing the crew doing certain things without gravity.
While reading that book, just one thing really crossed my mind for some reason.
Do those Thinkpads work with an SSD or just a mechanical hard drive?
Probably SSD as the platter drive would spin faster, and the moving head probably as well.
Pretty sure the magnets in hdd's mean they work in microgravity.

Wow dude, chill out; the long exposure of the car/tram lights combined with the architecture and camera angle reminded me of a certain image, what does it matter that it's from a video game?
