"your opinion is dumb, you have seen video games and something reminded you of it thus you are dumb" is really what rating that image comes down to.
I was just recently reading a book about the ISS, even had pictures in them on some pages, showing the crew doing certain things without gravity. While reading that book, just one thing really crossed my mind for some reason. Do those Thinkpads work with an SSD or just a mechanical hard drive? Probably SSD as the platter drive would spin faster, and the moving head probably as well.
HDDs should work fine in space, but the laptops should begin spinning slowly if I'm not mistaken.
Assuming they used HDD's back in the day, I can't imagine their faces if they accidentally left one floating in a room for like an hour and return to see it spinning around wildly :v:
Because tasteless videogame references make you sound like a spergy twelve-yearold. They aren't funny. They will never be funny.
This right here is the Clonycavan Man. He died a few hundred years BC, probably murder considering hes got a broken nose, has an axe wound in his skull, and was tossed in a bog. His body was preserved so well that the hair on his head is still intact. He was probably buried, or at least died, entirely whole and intact, but a piece of farm equipment drove over his body at some point and sliced him in half. And then we got this guy here, the Old Croghan Man. This dood lived like a king, regularly eating meats which was obviously a luxury 2500 years ago. People must have hated him though because they stabbed him in the chest, took his head off, and cut him in half.
The Clonycavan man actually had some sort of hair gell in his hair, which implies that he must've been pretty rich too. Speaking of bog bodies, here's the Tollund man, found in Denmark. [t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/44/Tollundmannen.jpg/1024px-Tollundmannen.jpg[/t] He has an extremely well preserved face.
oi he look like hes squeezin out a little old farte~
Do they just teleport the fuel in?
Refueling in race have been banned since 2010.
It feels weird because WW2 vets are still alive today. That could be somebody's grandpa or great uncle.
Most people who had a dad or a grandad die on the Eastern Front don't truly know what happened to them. As far as the Germans go, a lot of bodies were buried at the front, and when the Russians re-took those positions, they typically tore up the graveyard and destroyed all the tomb stones and grave markers. So it would be impossible to find the grave of your relative after the war. Most people know that their relative died on the Front, not where or how. As far as the Russians go, they weren't very courteous with their own dead from what I've read, and any Russians that were captured by the Germans were unceremoniously executed and dumped into a mass grave. The nice thing about the guy in the picture above, is that since he was so well preserved that they were probably able to find a dog-tag and give him a proper burial. I don't know if thats the case though, all I've read about him is that he was a YaK pilot and bailed out too low and landed in a swamp head-first. His feet/boots stuck above the waterline so they decayed and got munched on by scavengers. But the rest stayed almost completely intact. It really is sad though. All those soldiers fought for their country not even a full century ago and they never received proper burials. They still have living relatives who have no idea how their loved one died and will never know. It's a pretty morbid subject.

What's the story behind those flowers? How are they connected to WWI?
What's the story behind those flowers? How are they connected to WWI?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/remembrance/how/poppy.shtml
Scarlet corn poppies (popaver rhoeas) grow naturally in conditions of disturbed earth throughout Western Europe. The destruction brought by the Napoleonic wars of the early 19th Century transformed bare land into fields of blood red poppies, growing around the bodies of the fallen soldiers. In late 1914, the fields of Northern France and Flanders were once again ripped open as World War One raged through Europe's heart. Once the conflict was over the poppy was one of the only plants to grow on the otherwise barren battlefields.
