I've always wondered what the people atomised by the nuclear bombs felt, if anything. Presumably they would have seen the flash, maybe even seen the bomb drop. Did they experience anything before they simply became dust and a permanent shadow, even if only for an instant? It's something we'll never know. I hope that, if there is an afterlife, I can ask one of them.

[editline]14th November 2014[/editline] It also shows that Colombia's good relationship with the USA has a long history, doesn't it?
im sure it being named "united states of-" doesnt mean its mimicing the USA.
I feel like the pressure would kill you pretty much instantly.

I love dogs, they are so simple, yet loyal creatures. My parents dog still loves me so much, and just loves to spend time with me when I'm visiting them, even though I moved out several years ago.

The town of Lorient was used as a U-boat base by Germany and was a heavy target of allied bombing. Around 60,000 incendiary bombs were dropped on the town, rendering it completely uninhabitable. Around ~90% of the city was destroyed by allied bombing.
is the movie itself any good?
Yes, it was surprisingly good. I thought it was going to be about nerds trying to prove that they're strong and proud but instead, [sp]it's a movie about revenge[/sp].
Wouldn't shooting the pilots be a war crime? They're civilians after all.
They weren't in an actual war though, so no, no war crimes there.
Wouldn't shooting the pilots be a war crime? They're civilians after all.
No pilots were in at the time. The SEALs were sent out to the airport to specifically destroy the airplanes there so Noriega wouldn't be able to escape. They and the Marine Corps went along destroying aircraft and boats in order to corner Noriega in the Vatican embassy where he was captured and arrested.

I didn't know the story behind it, so I had assumed they were shooting at it while it was taxing or something. I think it'd be easier for them to just put a .50 in the engines.

You put a 5.56mm round in something as delicate as a jet engine you've grounded it.
