Thought it looks nice and this is a place for random auxiliary stuff. It just so happens that its Linz, but afaik these marketplaces are common during winter in snowy places.
I was just very confused by a random picture of a place I instantly recognized with no context :v:

Denmark is nothing like Solvang for example, Solvang is just garish: It's not like it's an old town either, it's from 1911. And that was my little rant about Americans ruining everything.
Americans coming to the small Dutch medieval town I live in is beautiful, cycling around with helmets and knee/elbow pads.. oh and don't forget the high visibility jackets. Always cracks me up to hear em say stuff like "Hold on Jane, I just need a shot of the dike ovah there". Saw this one guy holding a pair of clogs he bought at a giftshop, the most satisfied grin on his face I've ever seen.
Ah, I understand now. I didn't know the story behind it, so I had assumed they were shooting at it while it was taxing or something. I think it'd be easier for them to just put a .50 in the engines.
That would be worse than shooting it to shit. If you see the cockpit windows and the fuselage with holes in it, you know it can't be used. Shooting the engine may not even disable the aircraft, or worse, it works until they get in the air, then it fucks up while they're over a populated area and crash

I know there's often a visual difference like that at the mouths of rivers but that seems a little too sharply delineated.
American B-24 Liberators flying over Ploesti, Romania during a massive raid against a critical oil refining facility. The raid would result in devastating casualties to the bombers and the damage inflicted on the target was quickly repaired in a matter of weeks. A moment of heroism that occurred during the Raid
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity above and beyond the call of duty in action with the enemy on August 1, 1943. On this date he led his command, the 93d Heavy Bombardment Group, on a daring low-level attack against enemy oil refineries and installations at Ploesti, Rumania. Approaching the target, his aircraft was hit by a large caliber antiaircraft shell, seriously damaged and set on fire. Ignoring the fact he was flying over terrain suitable for safe landing, he refused to jeopardize the mission by breaking up the lead formation and continued unswervingly to lead his group to the target upon which he dropped his bombs with devastating effect. Only then did he leave formation, but his valiant attempts to gain sufficient altitude for the crew to escape by parachute were unavailing and his aircraft crashed in flames after his successful efforts to avoid other planes in formation. By extraordinary flying skill, gallant leadership and intrepidity, Lt. Col. Baker rendered outstanding, distinguished, and valorous service to our Nation
