You have to wonder how many of them despite serving their country valiantly would end up in the camps only two decades later.
A great many of them.

I guess it has something to do with how it's drawn.
Which isn't something that I agree with, but that's what I'm figuring considering that a lot of people on here don't like stuff related to anime or whatever.

Or I don't know, maybe they're the kind of the people that think that it's trying to be "2deep" with the usual tildes around it.

I thought thumb tags resize images wider than x pixels (so height wouldn't make a difference)?

Some say, however, that German military command suggested Josef Stalin could get his son back in exchange for Field-Marshal Friedrich Paulus, captured after the battle of Stalingrad.
“I will not exchange a soldier for a field marshal,” Stalin reportedly replied.

nah, camp guard told him to back away from a fence or something, and he basically told the guard to go fuck himself. Guard pulls out his handgun and just shoots him in the face.

It's used for ceremonies, and as a means of intimidation.
Sure looks practical in a fight.
It wouldn't be used in the same way as the Aztecs' whistle, that should be obvious. It was used by someone much like a standard bearer, its purpose being intimidation, giving commands, and rallying troops.
Anyway, I doubt that a few dozen carnyx used in battle would be as funny as most of you suppose it is...
Yeah, it has different tones and everything which were probably used to give various commands to troops, but that drone must be fucking scary if there were around 6-7 of them within a large horde of celtic warriors.
