Looks like the image that doctors inject dye into your blood before taking, and this hand has a smashed finger.
I wouldn't have effect on most stars, with a rare exception, even for those in the center of the galaxy. Stars are extremely small and extremely far away. Nearest star to us is 4 light years. In clusters that's around 1 light year. 1 light year is 9460730472581 km, which is 6798045 times bigger than the sun diameter. And that is just the closest star, not the average. Average distance is much, much higher. But our doom is much closer - sun will kill the earth long before Andromeda reaches us.
if we can survive for 1,000 years we'll survive for 10,000. And if we survive 10,000 we'll probably survive a million, and if we survive a million we'll probably last until the Big Rip. This is a turning point in history, where our weapons are catastrophically powerful, our influence on our environment profound, and our hearts still selfishly short-sighted and greedy. If we can get through the coming few centuries we'll probably have some pretty amazing anti-asteroid tech, men on Venus and Titan and stuff. Y'know, I always think about what we'll do when we max out the science and tech trees. It'd get mighty boring when we have all the answers to everything.

Not sure what the second is.
Google tells me the first one is a benign tumor (ring finger I guess). Not sure what the second is.
I studied (and failed) biology and i can tell you the second picture is a rare human-turkey hybrid. their are a few in the world but there existence is hushed up by the government.
Looks like a victim of the skeleton war to me.

Im sad that good telescopes are so damn expensive. Im also sad that its cloudy like 60% of the time here.
The second one is a CT scout image (scannogram, scout, tomogram the brand names vary based on manufacturer). Basically the CT scanner takes a quick, low resolution image of you which is then used to plan where the actual slices will be taken for the scan. The slices are typically taken in a helical fashion these days (some specialist places do use axial slices and have their reasons), the machine essentially spirals around you and then the computer reconstructs so in addition to axial slices you have sagittal and coronal reconstructions. The slices you take will be determined by the pathology you are looking for and patient conditions. You want to minimise dose but have as diagnostic an image as possible. As for the first one, it's definitely angiography. Edit: On going to the source, it is an angioma demonstrated in it. Have some paediatric CT scanners and rooms. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ogH0dsH.jpg[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/wDLvqnK.jpg[/t]

Well that's what happens when there is loads of oil.
a postage stamp?
Pretty sure this is a larger one of it, it's Coruscant. The version I have saved doesn't seem as wide though so it might be cropped. [t]http://i.imgur.com/bhvfxYK.jpg[/t]
literally look up
I added some eyes, I realise that was posted before
It's gonna be interesting what the city looks like once the cash flow collapses.
Hasn't Dubai's economy been reduced more and more lately?
contrary to popular belief (held by people who watch too many viral pseudo-documentary youtube videos), dubai's economy isn't entirely reliant on oil (or the "slave labor" factor which held some water maybe about 5 years ago but now it's pretty irrelevant since the government decided to address the issue after a lot of pressure from human rights watchdogs).
revenue from petroleum and natural gas currently account for less than 2% of the emirate's gross domestic product.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Dubai most of dubais revenue stems from being the economic and business gateway for virtually the entirety of africa and the middle east, there is such a colossal amount of cash flowing through that place it's fucking insane. there's no reason for its cash flow to 'collapse' unless the global economy suddenly goes to shit and money becomes obsolete
Basically, Dubai has replaced Mecca (which replaced the Gulf of Aden/Axumite Trade Routes) as the top-dog trade center for the middle-east/east Africa
