I was not aware that there was a place called Malé and that it looked like SimCity.
That is the look of a man who just got irrepairably mentally damaged, jesus fucking christ. The story behind it just makes it a million times worse.

They left out 'the Japanese always sound like they're way too excited about the current subject'.
Stuff like that fascinate me immensely, to see blatant racism treated as the norm in old times is almost surreal to me
I'm not justifying it or saying it was right, but stuff like that needed to be done so we could have a clear cut enemy to unite ourselves against. Before the US entered WWII, there was actually a reasonably sized Nazi party in the US. Them and many others wanted us too enter the war alongside of the axis or not enter it at all. So when the Japanese attacked, we had a clearly defined enemy to focus our hate against and start up the war effort. Keep in mind the US was in the midst of a crippling depression, and the main thing that brought us out of it was WWII. This is the house my great grandparents lived in, maybe their parents as well. I'm not sure about the details. I may explore it at some point, but it has lead paint, so I won't go back without a face mask. [t]http://i.imgur.com/uacZT5m.jpg[/t]

Apparently won, then drove off without giving fines.
Sure it's illegal? I know in California the police actually host street races (not actually on the street full of random people per se) and race in pimped out police vehicles. Goal is to stop actual illegal street races from happening. [editline]21st July 2013[/editline] I think Top Gear visited one of them in an episode, too.
A lot of cities do that. They'll take normal police cruisers and turn them into super cars and host drag races. I've never been to one but I've heard the cops win a lot of the time. I guess they do it to keep street races down and to show that you can't outrun the cops.
I think Top Gear visited one of them in an episode, too.
Found it That's a drag race though. But it's pretty cool Love the "no tax dollars used on this vehicle" disclaimer :v:

I wish the police did this in the UK. Hahahahahahaha oh boy I should make these jokes more often

Well, anything that doesn't really exist anylonger, placed where battles occurred, camps, old towns that no longer exist and he digs up (if he finds any) trinkets and such to sell. This ring he gave me is supposedly from a legionnaires camp in what is now france, he found it along with a bunch of other things like belt buckles and such. I cleaned off a LOT of green copper corrosion (there was so much that it looked like plastic and was leaving green streaks on everything I touched when I wore it) and this is how it looks after being a bit cleaned up. Unsure of its exact age but it should be around ≈2000 years old. I know you're not supposed to upload your own stuff, perhaps I'm just too infatuated with the ring but I just thought it was really neat that some legionnaire thousands of years ago brought the ring with them and forgot it and it hasn't been worn for all that time until now. edit: Woah, thank you for all the winners. I thought I'd get showered in dumbs for uploading my own stuff when first post states it's frowned upon.

What fabric is that? I really like how it looks.
That's really awesome. What fabric is that? I really like how it looks.
The fabric, I'm honestly not sure, just some scraps from an old shirt I re-sow. It's not a manmade fabric though, had a bunch of rubber elastics and such to keep it tighter and more stretchy. Just did some research, it is supposedly cotton but as I mentioned, it's not the only thing in it. You did a good job of making it match that ring, I admire your creativity. As for my avatar, don't you like the shark tits? :v:

It was the only brown fabric I could find, I don't think bright mint green fits in with a 2000 year old copper ring but I suppose that is just a matter of opinion.
