I have this small suspicion that these may have been edited. Mostly colourwise.

Never take teachers for granted.
Too bad most teachers I met are made up of the kind that want a paycheck.

Yeah, I had only 3 teachers in my entire school life try to get kids excited about learning. The rest were incompetent and could give a damn about their students.

Fucking Taylor Mali is the man.
The best teachers I ever had were the ones who were genuinely excited in and loved the thing they taught, who respected their students as people and weren't more interested in making the kids do what they say then actually teaching them things.

I hate to be 'that guy' and I hope you don't mind me pointing this out, but the phrase is 'couldn't give a damn'. It makes more sense, when you think about it!

Is that what most American teachers are like? god almost every teacher i knew was actually willing to teach and was really positive

It really depends on your district than anything else. Schools here are largely managed by the local governments so they vary quite a lot depending on location.

If my source is right, theres almost 100,000 schools in the US with around 50 million students. In Canada, (I can't find an exact source) theres around 1,000 schools and about 5 million students. So in the US, theres a much higher chance you'll encounter a shit teacher than you would in Canada.
I was schooled in the US, pre-k-6th grade in a school, 6-12th in virtual school, and I didn't encounter a single teacher that wasn't adamant about my education.

Last year I was in a pretty bad hicktown in america, and a lot of times, in situations when it'd not have been a problem here in Brazil, the teachers thought I was talking back to them and found that extremely disrespectful, while here it'd have been considered, you know, A CONVERSATION
Really makes me mad how the more "oppressive" teachers who thought they were above everyone else had shit classes full of unhappy people, and the few teachers (one of them actually the best teacher I've ever had) who respected the students instead of finding it mandatory that they respect the teacher were the only ones who achieved good results.
I haven't had many shit teachers, the best teacher I've ever had changed my life completely and turned everything around when it was heading down the shitter. I won't go into detail, but without his inspiration and determination to change what was so wrong with me I would probably be living in a dumpster now.
Welcome to No Child Left Behind. Teachers practically aren't allowed to teach what they want or what they think is important. They teach what is going to be on standardized tests so that they can keep a roof over their head.
In America at least

You know, I checked, and they said it was perfectly natural. I'm not really one to argue, so I went with it.

Night time sky is pretty and all, but having electricity and being able to see inside my house at night is pretty damn great. I really wouldn't consider it a shame that we can't see it in certain areas.
An underground city could be cool
You would like Beijing underground then. It's basically a bomb shelter meant for around 6 million people, so in case of a nuclear attack, the residents could just hide underground and continue their daily lives for as long as they needed too.
This is a 97 year old, partially blind man, who's been using MSpaint, to paints these with:

Welcome to America, where the teachers unions prevent bad teachers from being fired. They say its so teachers won't just get fired for shits and giggles, but we don't tend to fire good teachers. In the end the entirety of the country is suffering because of the lack of education our youth is getting, causing our country to start to have to import smart people.
Eventually we're going to run out of money to import stuff, and then America is going to be shit out of luck.
