black roses only exist naturally in halfeti, turkey.

The flowers commonly called black roses are actually a very dark shade of red, purple, or maroon. The color of a rose may be deepened by placing a dark rose in a vase of water mixed with black ink. Other black roses may be blackened by other methods such as burning.
Calling bullshit.
It looks like the roses have been dyed. I rember doing this in primary school. The teacher brought in a white flower (I think it was a carnation) and we added colouring dye into the water. After a day the petals took hold of the pigments.
Mind you, they could grow a dark grey/black shade naturally, if the bud itself was dyed or soaked in a black pigment and cultivated.
black roses does not exist in nature. The blackest rose that exist is the Black Baccara. we can't even cultivate black roses.

portugal deserves more credit, when its at its biggest its still slightly smaller than spain, even though it won like 2 or more large conflicts with spain at the time (or before, i dont remember very well), while spain was supposed to be much more powerful, both militarily and economically.
portugal was this small country with very few important economic activities that actually managed to compete with countries that were leading the exploration of "new world". they got fucked over later on due to some bad decisions, including a huge debt with england, but imo their best period in history is quite impressive and i think their space there should be a little bigger.
but then again i'm no historian, and i'm sure the guys who made that are, but it's just what i've always thought.

Speaking of house of the rising sun, I remember hearing a rendition of it years ago with an incredibly deep voice but I haven't been able to find it again, think it used the animals lyrics.

Taking pictures and video of lightning can produce some awesome results.

It's like looking at a power map in Civilization.
Also, this would have been helpful in 2010 when I was taking AP World History.
