Bunch of stuff by Aaron Beck, who did a ton of concept art for things like Avatar and Elysium, he does a ton of cyberpunk/post-cyberpunk stuff too.

Bringing some more, less depressing WWII history content
Otto Carius, second leading Tank Ace during WWII. Knocked out over 150 enemy tanks during the war.

Otto's Tiger tank. It was so fresh from the factory, that it still didn't have all of it's road wheels in place.

Otto meeting Himler after he was wounded on the Eastern front. He recieved the Knights cross of the Iron cross with Oak leaves. More or less WWII Germany's medal of Honor.

When he met with Himmler, they talked about solutions to the war. They talked about V2 rockets, the ME-163 Komet, and the new JagdTigers being fielded. Otto got Himmler to personally sign an order sending him back to the front lines with his old squad as soon as he was declared fit for duty after a few months.
When he was considered fit for duty, they sent him to the Western front and didn't get to fight with his squad again. He commanded a company of JagdTigers and actually hated the tanks. All his crews were inexperienced and poorly trained, many of his JagdTigers were knocked out by the drivers having no clue how to operate the tanks. He eventually detonated his JT's and surrendered to the Americans in the Ruhr pocket.
While he was in an American POW camp, he saw quite a few atrocities there. Torture, execution, letting wounded men die, and even refusal to give POW's water. He eventually got out and returned to his mothers home, within the same day or so that his brother(s) and Father returned home. All in all, he knocked out over 100 tanks.
After the war, he eventually opened a pharmacy.

He's 90 years old and one of my personal heroes.
He wrote a book called "Tigers in the Mud". You should all read it.

Actually I wonder, how does Otto feel about the defeat of Germany?

woh, surprised someone actually remembered that. I can post his photo album here if you guys want.
Otto's book, "Tigers in the Mud", doesn't just cover his combat history with the Tigers, it also covers his opinions on how Germany and the rest of the world felt about Germany and the German populace during and after the war. It goes on to talk about how the over glorification of the allies and the over simplistic black&white view of the war decades afterward. He even talks about the "Unknown Deserter" monuments and how idiotic they are.
As far as his opinions on Germany losing the war, I think he said something along the lines of him being glad the Nazi factions were utterly crushed and defeated, but sad that Germany got taken down with them. Once the Western allies rolled into Germany, he and many of his comrades in the Wehrmacht were desperately hoping for a joint coalition to roll onto the Soviets and conquer the Soviet Union. He saw a lot of messed up stuff and lost many friends when he was invading the Soviets, so it's pretty understandable that he would want to crush their fucked up government.
Pictures from the Third battle of Ypres (Passchendaele) WW1. Ypres was one muddy and wet mess.

WW1 was an extremely brutal war, I went to the Tyrne Cot cemetery at Ypres two weeks ago, and more than half of the soldiers burried there weren't identified because they only recovered a leg or an arm. An Australian division stormed 3 blockhouses (where the cemetery is now, the blockhouses are still where they were) and captured them, the place was then immediatly turned into a burial site.

The blockhouses are between the trees, and under the memorial there's also a blockhouse.
The worst thing about WW1 was that the generals in charge were awarded for their courage and tactical prowess.
They were awarded for sending millions of young conscripted men straight into a lead meat grinder.
Awarded.

General Douglas Haig, the guy who commanded the British, Canadians and so forth in the Battle of Passchendaele, went to view the muddy wasteland after the battle was over and reportedly broke into tears saying: "Good God, did we really send men to fight in that?" His driver replied with "It gets worse, farther on up."
That's a pretty ugly redesign in my opinion.
But if we're doing that...

somebody correct me if i'm wrong, but my friend who loves jerkcity told me that the comics written by several decade-old chat bots that talk with each other that are occasionally fed vocabulary.
The genesis of the Jerkcity strip itself occurred when Rands discovered Microsoft Comic Chat and decided that, along with the domain name, he now had all the ingredients for creating a comic strip based on the three years of logs from the group's private chat room. He culled jokes from the logs, generated a few sample strips, and put the whole affair on jerkcity.com.
Jerkcity production continues today in much the same way as it has since 1998. First, jokes are culled from the private chat logs. Next, the dialogue is "spoken" by an army of IRC bots while the producer of the strip observes the strip's creation in Microsoft Comic Chat. The producer may then choose to reset the strip and replay the dialogue until the desired combination of timing, framing, and facial expressions is achieved. At this point, the strip may be tweaked using any number of image-manipulation tools. Finally, the strip is run through several automated perl scripts which add the title, credits, URL, and grey text, at which point the strip is queued for publication on jerkcity.com
i was close-ish
You can actually download MS Comic Chat, connect to an IRC server, and use it still and make your own.

Post good non-late ratings-worthy content. Doesn't mean post purposefully unfunny stuff, just stuff more worthy of a different rating.
Focus is on friendly (cute,) informative, winner, artistic, useful, etc.
Nowhere on there does it say "post depressing stuff".
Yeah actually I mean that's not something out of the ordinary to see on tumblr maybe, but can we cut the dead people. And can you not nearly pageking us with such a thing?
This is one of my favorite artists. His name is Simon Stålenhag.
I find his work inspiring and thought-provoking. These paintings (all done traditional)
depict a future Sweden.
