Simo Hayha, a 5 foot 3 Finn, has killed more men with a sniper rifle than anyone else could hope too, with 505 kills with a M/28 Finnish Mosin Nagant. He's also credited for a few hundred hand grenade and SMG kills as well. The Soviets nicknamed him "White Death". He would pack snow into his mouth to conceal his breath and didn't use a scope to reduce glare. The Soviets tried everything from artillery strikes to countersniping to get rid of him, but all failed. Towards the end of the war he was shot in the jaw and lost most of his left cheek, but lived through it and regained consciousness the day the war ended. After the war he was promoted from Corporal to Lieutenant.

I'm pretty sure I saw an old movie like that, can't remember the name but basically it's about an astronaut on a lone expedition to the moon and a presumed-dead shuttle pilot from the previous expedition that went horribly wrong about 6 years ago starts haunting him.
It's pretty eerie because there's a scene where the astronaut is eating his lunch inside his lunar lander and one of the suits hanging up on the wall behind him suddenly starts moving except the reflective visor is down so you can't see the face.

This is chilling. Absolutely chilling. Understanding what must be going on inside while simultaneously observing what's going on outside of a tank as you look straight down its bore is a surreal thing, especially knowing that someone must have been nearby to set it up.
