I was just at a football game. It was super close and we lost, but I'm not even mad. Why? Because after the game was over, they decided to play a last song over the speakers. What was it? I TRIED SO HARD, AND GOT SO FAR, BUT IN THE END, IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER [editline]4th September 2015[/editline] I want to high five whoever did the music selections, because they also played Sing for the Moment right after the band's as a satirical comparison, and Sandstorm at one point. The memes were just fucking everywhere

I got to work today, (I work in a hotel) and it turned out to be the day that I have been waiting for ever since I started here. We have ZERO check-ins. Like, none. My day was over before it even started, and now I don't have to do anything for the next 8 hours. Edit: And with that new-found time: I found a website that let me pick up the new Mad Max game with the Ripper DLC for only $18.

I can't formulate my words enough about the college, especially about the economics class. It's all mindblowing and new fucking incredible stuff.
I can now say that I have chopped down two trees using nothing but a bastard sword and pure grit. But mostly a bastard sword.

I'm glad my parents were never too bothered about my education. They expected me to do well, helped me if I ever needed help and never brought it up. They had lives and I wasn't a fan of boring dinner talks so we rarely did the "SOOOOOO HOW WAS SCHOOL?" If they ever had concerns, they brought it up but never held on to them if I resolved the issue. I've heard tales of parents being 100% immersed in their child's education to the point where the child doesn't get a moment of peace due to the constant nagging of their parents.

That took me way too long to translate.
I just bought a copy of Ocarina of Time's collector edition for $39.

Got myself a new laptop. i7, 8gb RAM, GTX 960M, 480GB SSD and I'm going to stick Windows 10 on it (which I can get from work which saved me some money as I asked to have no OS on it). Had my old Sony Vaio for over 6 years and it served me well. But it got to the point where it would take about 20 minutes after starting up to become useable without waiting ages for a program to open. Added to that it recently stopped detecting 1 one the RAM sticks which made it go from 8 to 4. Also recently bought myself the Player's Handbook for D&D as I plan to finally start DMing. Very excited, built my world, characters and everything. I rarely put so much effort in these kind of things but I am loving it so far!
