My dad is fucking awesome. I asked to see his Kindle, really old one, and was just seeing how good it was reading in the dark with a lamp. I've been reading again for a few hours before I go to sleep to help get away from the computer and my tablet gives me crazy headaches for some reason when reading books. I woke up today, talked to him for about 20 minutes and he just asks "Do you want a Kindle?" And now I have a Kindle coming. He never randomly buys me expensive electronic crap.
Brother and I had a foam sword fight at Wal-Mart because why not. I blocked every move of his even though I didn't know what I was doing. He ended up winning due to stabbing me after slicing the price tag off my sword by accident, and I let my guard down. :v:
I beat Undertale just a few minutes ago, True Pacifist. And it was awesome. :dogcited:
Double-posting this in STGYM.
About a year or so ago I posted about a longtime friend of mine who returned from serving a tour in the middle east, and the reason she was sent home had disturbed her to the point of extreme agoraphobia and generally fearing all other people. Now, her shrinks have given her a clean bill, and she is once more able to live as normal a daily life as she ever will. In short, she was held captive and treated horribly. Now she looks at what happened as something she has bounced back from, something in the past, and prefers to think of the things she can do in the future. She has moved out of my house as of yesterday morning (morning of 1/14) and now lives in an apartment about 30 minutes drive away, has a civilian job, and is going to school to become a software engineer.
I don't think I have ever been happier for someone in years.
My job of helping her back to normal life is done.

I reunited with my best friend of about 6 years last night. She'd gone through a weird phase of not talking to anyone and I didn't expect her to actually respond to my text since I expected her to be mad at me for removing her out of frustration and well...she wasn't.
She said she's out of that weird phase now and is sorry for everything that happened, what matters now is that we're back in touch. I'm getting misty eyed typing this so I'll just say: I really hope I don't lose her again.
Saw one of my favorite bands last night and got to meet the singer after the show. He seemed like a really nice guy.

My dad found my old phone! Poor thing's dead and the screen's still cracked from getting smooshed, but as long as it's resting peacefully in my room I'll be happy.

It came four hours before I thought it would. Woo! This thing is so much better to read on than my tablet.
Just played my first session of DnD with a bunch of friends.
One of us is already dead and I accidently broke the leg of our pet wolf.
It's great.
Internet archive is bringing my entire digital childhood back. No time to explain, now I'm too happy checking out all the browser games I used to play as a kid.

Anyone? May not be the best example, but it was fun. Give the chiptunes a listen btw, this one at least.
Dragon's Dogma is so amazing on the pc, it was my favorite game for the ps3 and probably one of the best rpgs I've ever touched. When I turned it on I felt tingles in my body and cried during the dragon cinematic :v: then I got too overwhelmed and shut it off.
It's been a long time since I was actually overwhelmed to play a game LOL
Ys games have some of the best music I have heard in my life.
Bless Falcom, their sound team and XSeed for the ports, making me discover the gem that is this series that I missed completely.
snip nvm

It snowed so on my way to work I listened to the battle of Hoth medley.
That was immsersive.
