I finally found my missing ka-bar folding knife! The damn thing was missing for two years now. It's a really good knife and the last time I used it I was opening my fish tank lights. Shieetttttt..... I've missed that thing for so long now. It was buried under a bunch of old greeting cards. I only found it because I was looking for a giftcard.
Also, I bought some stuff from target with my giftcard online. I got a cocktail shaker, vitamins I need, and a new shirt. Spending makes me feel happy. Thank god for that giftcard because I only paid like a buck on my debit and I only have like 5 on there hahaha.
My New Nintendo 3DS XL comes tomorrow from Nintendo.

You should catch them and raise them as pets once they are strong enough. Songbirds like sparrows and shit are pretty dumb though.
Speaking of pets, I had the idea of adding my old 5 gallon fish tank's air pump filter to the back of my big tank. There's a big dead spot on the back corner and I think it's causing the plants there to not grow as strong. I wasn't using it so it's worth a shot to save like 30 bucks on a powerhead for some extra flow, and use up the old filter cartriges that are taking up space in my aquarium storage box. It's only 20 gallons an hour though, but when in doubt I can run my second one too. I forget if the air pump I have is strong enough to make both flow though. I was running them both on my 10 gallon before I got the sponge filter but with separate pumps. Also I don't want to run an air-stone because of my co2.

The only problem with that is I have cats :v: I don't mind that they're there though, it's sort of peaceful. What makes me sad is that occasionally i'll go out and find a dead baby on the driveway =(
This week has been incredible so far, University started, I'm im a career to do something I love (Astronomy). This week and next we don't have class during the evening, instead there are competitions, games and events, and I've been having TONS of fun.
I've also made a number of friends I would never have DREAMED of having and they are so great and so fun and it makes me so incredibly happy.
Also, Today is my birthday! I had two of my older friends wish me happy birthday at 00:00 AM, and one of them lives 600 km away and sent me a fucking gift! Today I will recieve it somewhere close to my campus and oh god the fact that she did that for me made me literally tear up.
This is so unbelievably good.

stardew valley is so much fun, I'm so addicted to it and it's one of the most satisfying games I've played in a while. Super duper recommend it to anyone who has a thing for Harvest Moon and sims games

On monday I went to the library to find some Lovecraftian horror.
And to my delight I found a collection of Lovecraftian short stories in the shelf of books the library was giving away.
I went and bought some new fishies! I got a male black molly to replace the one that croaked, then a preggo guppy and a male guppy to replace the female molly that also croaked. Hopefully they won't contaminate my tank with something but they seem to be doing ok. I added stuff to the water just to be safe.
Once my 10 gallon is properly cycled (just set it up), the baby mollies are going in there. It seems like the adult mollies won't breed in the big tank, maybe there are too many big babies? Plus the guppy is probably only a few days away from plopping god knows how many babies. I put her in my breeder net to be safe so the babies don't end up dying. I also re-put the baby molly that is a runt in there, because IDK if he's not getting enough food but all of the siblings are like 4x the size now. He's so small he almost got sucked into the filter again.
Also I'm kinda mad because I can't figure out how the hell I had my led clip lamp set up on the 10 gallon and I seem to have lost all the pictures I had of it. I need to put live plants in there, and because the bathroom counter is the only thing that can support 100lbs, there's not enough light.
Bought new shoes today.

They're like an amazing replacement for every other shoe I own. They're Cons I can wear in shit weather. They're boots I can wear casually. They have removable insoles so I can put my own in and they're padded and comfy as fuck. All because my mom wanted a stupid tote bag from DSW.
Got two dates lined up for next week, going strong as ever
I not only got the job I wanted and got rushed through the interview process but it's official and I started my first day yesterday
I get to work at a pet hospital as office/receptionist essentially
​got started at [B]$11/hr[/B], I get my schedule 3-6weeks in advance, I can start training as a Vet Assistant in a few months, I might get a raise in 90 days but even without it anytime I work after 6pm I get an extra $1/hr and every sunday /holdiay I get like $1.50/hr extra
I work mainly nights/weekends anyways so I get [I]$12.50[/I] every sunday and everyone at this place is super fucking nice and chill
also I get like 30-90% off all vet-related stuff depending on what it is. I got a full checkup + extras (like pedicure) for my cat and the bill was like $810 but I only payed like $81 which included his medicine and yeah
i'm so gosh damn diddly happy
Nothing makes me happier than watching extreme freakouts and breakdowns on the X-Factor.
Finishing every episode of a tv show, and then immediately watching it again.
(And I'm talkin' about Daria)
Made a soy garlic salmon and egg thing for dinner. Yum.
