Today is my mom's birthday. So I go to her house and start talking with her about stuff, asking her what her schedule is like this week. We're planned to go out saturday and eat dinner or something with the rest of the family.
So I ask her, if there was something she could do alone, what would it be? Not surprising to me, she just says she would love to just go grocery shopping all day. I start offering suggestions, like going to the casino. This immediately triggers her to say she would LOVE to go to the casino near us because they're having a Foreigner concert. But of course she just says she can't afford tickets to that and stuff.
So I'm like "that sucks" and ask her what concerts she's been too and stuff. All while I'm doing this, I'm purchasing a ticket to this concert for her.
I bought my mom a ticket to go see Foreigner for her birthday. She almost broke down crying. :v:
I am the best son.
Decided to skip class today and went to my bfs. He gave me spending money and I bought fancy shit. Plus I got bleach because his trailer needed to be cleaned and it smells good in here now. Yay.

it's just a borzoi girl, all I used was a mouse and sai while watching stuff with my brother and gf. Drawing seems to be so much easier when you're having fun with other people
I actually did something productive earlier and looked at a university. Majoring in international studies would be interesting.
I'm going to have a step mom and step sisters. My dad got engaged to his girlfriend of four years now. I've never seen my dad happier with her and they are really meant for each other in lots of ways because of the trials and everything they have been through. Oh my god I'm in so much shock and giddiness for them, its also so cool to be able to have more siblings outside of my brother this IS SO COOL AHHHH
I am blasting through work today and I still have 2 hours to go.
I love days where the workflow is smooth.
Grocery shopping with no time limit
I've taken my CPU water-cooler off and put it back on enough times to where this shit's starting to come easily.
I don't understand why they didn't just use clamps like fans, but w/e
Florkofcows made one of those "send me your pic and ill draw you" thing and even thoug i was late he made me a drawing!!!! :joy:

So a short update to this. She went to see the concert yesterday. When she got inside and started looking for her seat, which was near the back (mind you the place it was held in could only hold around 1100~ from what she told me so it wasn't really far away). One of the casino employees came up to her and told her she was given a seat in the front row. She actually got to sit in the second row or so from the stage. But yeah, the whole thing from me buying the ticket and her getting moved to the front left her in such a shock :v:
She was so excited the whole time.

That was taken just before it started.

Although I should mention that we both almost ripped our hearts out that day. We were going up to pick up the ticket for her and she ended up getting a call from her work. Apparently they have some "instant termination" policy about not answering your phone when called between certain times.
So she answered the phone and was talking to a lady asking if she wanted to come in today. My mom basically spilled everything that was going on about me buying her a ticket and the concert and the lady on the other side was like "OH NO Don't worry about you go have fun. You're not in trouble or anything."
Yeah if she HAD to go into work that day we both would have been crying the rest of the day.
I work at the liquor store and I have to check peoples documents quite often. So yesterday one very young lady tried to buy some Martini Bianco and I asked her to show her passport. She smiled and passed me the passport. And here's my thoughts at that moment: "Well, let's see if you are eighteen or old- HOLY MOLY YOU ARE 35". It was a win-win situation for both of us because judging by her smile I've made her day and this whole situation cheered me up a lot.
I got myself a Cintiq tablet. Holy shit, it really feels so natural to draw. :excited:
Still need some adjustments and practice on it but other then that, everything I do should be close to my actual skill on paper. Stuff like spending 45 mins on a sketch that I'd complete in 10-15 mins on paper.
Screw you, hand/eye coordination!
picked these babies up (the half life disk is opposing force, was part of a combo set but they only had 1 disc)

Steam's handling of having multiple computers and shit
I have FO3 installed on my laptop, bought Mothership Zeta on my PC, hit "Install" on my PC, went over to my laptop, thinking "oh wait wrong computer let me hit install on this instead," and it was already installing.
It's neat that we're in an age where shit like that happens.
