There are genuinely good people in this world; we've been having a lot of troubles lately but so many of our friends and family are here for us like a giant web system of support
Got the fish all set up in the quarantine tank. Hopefully he's healthy enough to add to the main tank in a few days.
Listening to Hans Zimmer music makes me happy as a kite.
Daaaaaaamn that's really nice! Question outta curiosity, was it pretty painful for you to get?
It was excruciating, I'm not gonna lie
For the first time in my life I finally got on the Galaga top 5 in the local arcade.

So this shitty warehouse that I worked in for a good year or so before I got my new job will most likely have to be destroyed and the business relocated. It's situated right next to the post office (the buildings are less than a foot apart) and apparently the ground is contaminated from a gas company that used to own the property in the mid 1800's. The state EPA wants to conduct a decontamination of the surrounding ground area, which means razing the buildings.
It's about fucking time. I feel bad for anybody who still works there. Winters are hypothermic and my old boss rarely purchased propane for our heaters, and summers are so unbearably hot that you can barely breathe. Couple that with being pushed to work long long hours, and you've got a good mix of fuck everything I'm done with this shit after awhile.
I talked to one of my friends who still works there and they told me that they haven't been allowed to open windows this summer. Which is fucking wrong. The air doesn't move in that building and having the windows open made it move. I'm shocked nobody has fucking passed out yet. When it was still winter, he got a temp secretary and she quit 4 hours into her first day because it was too damn cold. She couldn't feel her hands even with gloves on.
Good fucking riddance. However all of this recent news has made me wonder if my old boss was such a douche in regards to upgrading the building and getting it going with good ventilation and such because he knew he may be forced to relocate one day.
I have the whole house to myself and the boyf this weekend.
yassssss
I got my final exam results.
I am graduating with 2:1 in Computer Science.
I did some calculations few weeks ago trying to predict my result - I got 2:2, but real mark is 2:1, I am very very happy.

I have no idea how that grading system works

Above 70% Average: 1:1
Above 60% Average: 2:1 (minimum by most employers and colleges for Masters Degree)
Above 50% Average: 2:2 (Shitty but can get you though)
Anything below 50% Average: Pass (Absolute shit)
Most employers prefer a 2:1 than a 1:1
Because a 2:1 shows that you are not just a complete bore with nothing but a worker drone as this may cause issues with other colleagues unlike having a 1:1 where you appear that you only ever worked during your uni life and had no social life. (which may cause issues further on as you may wish to pursue that life you missed and quit)

I heard about that before actually.
I have 1 year experience in IT company, however - it double crosses with my college time, so I don't mention that work experience on my CV even though it's important.
If I get asked in interview: "We see you have 1 year experience, how did you manage to get that if you had college at the same time?" - I honestly don't know what to answer.
Saying that college was too easy and I took a year off would probably make them think I am a guy who randomly decides to take vacations off.
(That's in fact what I did, took a year off, over 4 years of college I been in it only for maybe 5% of the time, for tests and exams only).
I'm finally 18 years old today, and I don't have to go to work today.
Going to be spending a week camping in the everglades next week, it is going to be hot and peak mosquito season but thankfully there will also be a ton of rain and the park will be almost empty. For a lot of people it might sound miserable but I am going with a group of good friends and conditions are perfect for herpetological field work. In addition to the normal stuff south Florida offers I have permits with fish and wildlife to hunt large pythons and I will be assisting with Oustalet's chameleon surveys.
If all goes to plan we will be hitting beaches, crawling though swamps, catching giant snakes, and drinking around the fire all week. Should be a great trip.
Success!!! and friendly people.
Maybe sleeping too.
hoyl crap i moved from a 720p monitor to 1080 and IT IS GLORIOUS
hugs make me happy ^w^
hugs are the best, especially tight hugs. Makes my heart all warm n shit!
Today my mom just gave me 80$.
Like that. No reason.
Usually, she repays me when I buy things for the house with my own money, like food. But I haven't bought anything for the past days.
Quite a happy surprise.
So I'm doing Overwatch (CSGO's community-bans-hackers program) and I was just sitting here watching a guy aimbot the fuck out of everyone.
Then this motherfucker on the opposite team one-taps him from 50 yards away, it was a fucking awesome feeling like "woah holy shit nice one dude."
Also, a few days ago I told my friend to refund PAYDAY 2 and get FONV since we didn't know when he was going to have stable internet again and he's never played either non-isometric Fallout game but loved Oblivion and Skyrim. The refund finally came in today and today happened to be the day both Fallouts were $2.49 so he was able to pick up both.
I've finally finished writing my thesis and managed to successfully submit it. It's been a while since I have felt such a peace of mind. To reward myself, I got One Finger Death Punch for only 1,24€ yesterday. I haven't played it even for an hour, but I already see why it is currently the #1 game on Steam when it comes to user reviews.
My friend made me a list of parts to assemble a full computer within my price range and can run things better than my current typewriter.
It's a lot easier to save up money for something you can look up and see rather than just a concept and I actually for once feel like I might finally get a computer to run all these games I've had for years but never been able to touch.
white people becoming a minority in america. it's scaring the shit out of them.
I'm diving into the world of texture painting in Blender. Apparently, I'm not bad.

So I was playing Rust with some friends (it turns out the game can be great fun if you're a group of 4 roleplaying wasteland ISIS :v:) and we got raided by some guys with far superior gear than us. We all died and assumed all our shit was gone since our other base had been raided as well and so we'd basically have nothing, but then at some point they told us to come back to the house, so we sent an envoy.
Turns out they upgraded a lot of our structures, replaced our key locks with code locks(and gave us the password), and left us some better equipment and shit and then moved on after one of us was there to get in.
Turns out dudes can be not assholes sometimes.
