It's not 4chan that I don't like, it's most of the people there.
It's amazing of how deep and intellectual some threads get. Therefore /love for that reason.
People generalize it too much of /b/.

Depends greatly upon the board. /tg/ and /x/ can be truly great, as well as a lot of the other boards: as far as I'm concerned, the only utterly shit one is /b/. Sadly, getting rid of /b/ does not get rid of it's idiots.

I go on 4chan about half as much as I do here, not necessarily /b/ but other boards aswell.

It dosent make sence it just full off posts and bad layout.
4chan is like a network of sewers beneath the internet.
You can use it to get around and most of the internet's shit ends up there.
Sometimes a new species of bacteria will pop up there and everyone will gawk at it for 30 seconds.
It's also full of mutant sewer people who sometimes rise up and piss in the doorway of other websites. But usually they just looks at the shit from the above world and slap a demotivator round it.
I visit /g/ and /co/ but I keep it to myself, I hate the majority of things that come out of 4chan (actually everything)- and having been going there since about 2005/2006, its changed tremendously.
I hate the impact that it has on the internet, and the whole concept of "anonymous" is fucking stupid, I hate seeing 4chan memes on digg or any other message board I visit or online game I play for that matter.
I enjoy browsing /wg/ and /g/.

You have the people who try to make meaningful threads, and those threads can stick around for a while, you have the people who want to jump on the bandwagon and spout memes, and you have the trolls who make the site look bad.
Overall I don't much care for it, there are a few funny image macros there, some enthralling stories, but it seems to be overwhelmed by the "new-fags" who think they will become internet bad-asses by posting there.
Also, don't forget that /b/ is just a board on 4chan, there are other legitimate boards that hold intelligent discussions over hobbies people have. Too many people seem to portray all of 4chan by whatever comes from /b/, which I think is stupid because there is a lot more to 4chan than that.
