What's the name of that complete loser who has watched 1000+ ecchi and rated them all 10/10? You know the one, I've seen you guys joke about him a couple times but I can't find those posts.
It's a really glorious anime, I watched it back in 2004.
From what I've seen so far, the animation quality varies greatly. Some parts look amazing and fluid, while others just look completely terrible. The 2nd episode seems to be a little better overall than the first episode as well. And it only has 13 episodes so it looks like I'll definitely finish it.

His page took half a minute. His anime list is still loading as we speak ._.
He rated Haganai a 9, but Haganai NEXT a 1...
He hasn't watched Cowboy Beb-- oh holy sheeeet he hasn't watched Spice and Wolf. Or Planetes. Or Code Geass. Or Trigun. Or the second season of Haruhi Suzumiya. How does he watch all that bullshit and not watch these classics?
Jesus Christ, Psycho-Pass has gotten so much better the past few episodes, episode 20 was fucking great.
The showdown these two last episodes will be intense, to the point where I wonder if it would be a better idea to not watch it next week and watch both of the last episodes in one go instead.
Could anyone who playes mahjong explain this to me:
Do you have to announce tenpai? The tutorial was a little bit fuzzy about this and I've never seen the option in a game. I know when you can announce Riichi/Reach, but is tenpai just a waiting state?
No & yes respectively. I only know the basics of mahjong, but I'm pretty sure so long as your hand has at least one yaku you can sit in damaten/silent tenpai (tenpai without declaring riichi). While you'll lose the extra han from not declaring riichi it's a good idea if you want to keep it hidden from other players, don't want to risk the 1000 points or want to change your wait.

no
tenpai is simply just the fact of being one tile away from a complete hand
why you'd want to declare reach (aka declare tenpai) would be to give you hand a yaku (it's very possible to be in no-win tenpai), or to get ura dora, or just to be aggressive and make other people fold

alright, i figured. you only say tenpai or no-ten after a draw or something
also it's really fun to play, but the only yaku i ever remeber to use is when you don't eat any cards or when you have a mend of honorary tiles.
the only yaku i ever remeber to use is when you don't eat any cards
that's not actually a yaku in itself, unless you mean closed self-draw/tsumo
eventually you'll remember all yaku and become easier at reading what's the best one to go for/combine; i had the wikipedia page for yaku open almost all the time until i just picked up all of them
the easiest hands to remember (and probably get) are tan'yao, yakuhai, toi toi, chanta/jun chan and chii-toi-tsu, but toi toi is a garbage hand anyways, chanta is hard to finish unless you had most of it from the start, and chii-toi-tsu is good unless you have shit luck and have been discarding pairs (having lots pairs in your hand is also kind of bad too, but that's deeper strategy)

yeah that's what i meant, i think. thanks for the tip about wikipedia
also is there any mahjong-anime besides Akagi and the Saki series?
The manga's fantastic, please go die
Sucks that the final volume won't be published here until August
e: dammit dgg you were the one who told me to read it anyway
I told you to watch it?
I never tell people to read that boring medium called manga, that's for nerds, nobody reads that.
ye who reads mango anyway
everyone knows that grapefruits are the way to go

I stopped reading Watamote when I found out there was an anime being made for it.
Manga sucks.
You told me to do both
Only read the manga though so suck it nerd
I recommended you to watch the anime the same way I'd recommend people to watch the movie before reading the book.
Since the book/manga is usually the better thing, why would you read that before watching a lesser adaption of it?
Also watch it, nerd.

Only people with no ambitions, too much time on their hand, no job, no interests and no social life read manga.
People without ambitions, some time on their hands, possibly with a job, a tiny portion of social life and interests watch anime.
Those who do both are not considered humans and are as thus outright ignored.
What the hell are you guys talking about manga rules
I read shoujo manga because it makes me cry

I love romance

scrap meh now, manga and anime master race, only plebs do one or the other.
Joking aside, reading the manga, then watching the anime allows you to get a lot more out of a series than just doing one. Even though I don't like doing things twice, it's nice to see how a studio has handled the manga you love so dearly.
Im pretty sure you guys are taking sarcasm srsly

A curious but positive side-effect, I seem to have no reason to change my current behaviour, the test experiment seems to react way beyond our predictions, interesting...
