I've been neglecting to watch FMA:Brotherhood for a while now, but I've finally started watching it.
What do you guys think of FMA and FMA:B? I honestly like the series, but the original seemed a shit load more dark and serious than what Brotherhood is turning out to be.

The overall tone of Brotherhood stays more consistent then the first FMA thoughout, and it has less plot holes.
I don't think that the first FMA was bad, I just think it tried to be too ambitious and failed a bit in the end, where brotherhood played it more safe and ended up with an overall good plot instead of the half good, half retarded original.

Yeah, as much as I liked the original it had some serious problems. It did have a pretty strong atmosphere though, I have to give it that.
So far Brotherhood feels more like an anime and feels a whole lot more 'complete', even though it's lacking the same atmosphere the original had.

I had the most anti-japanese-everything person I know link me Inferno Cop claiming it was the best thing ever and he was right

She watched peach pit and and two other anime that I was vaguely aware of, says she hates dubs because all the characters sound emotionless, and loves ghibli. She also went on to (I hope) jokingly say that she hates real people, and wished that everything was anime.
This kinda brings me to a question, what's the name of that ghibli film about the woman on the train recalling her past? I'd kinda forgotten about it, and it was one of the things she'd seen, and I was going to look into it when I first heard about it, but never got round to it.
