ITT: Retarded Religious Arguments
ITT: Religious arguments
ITT: This is a shitpost
i do not completely believe in god- or any higher power that is- but i also do not believe one can be so sure. raised in a christian home, i was taught tho, that it's not god that controls everything, but that he gives us the knowledge to make our own choices. we then make wrong choices, example, rape, murder, adultery, war, abuse, and so on. just playing devil's advocate. my reasons for not believing are my own and we are all entitled to our opinion. but i can say that because there is hate in the world and we'd all like god to get his holy ass down here to help is not a reason. in the end, we will know the complete truth if we die and our bodies get eaten by worms, or we go to heaven, or hell, or we reincarnate into an animal, or whatever.
ITT: Retarded Religious Arguments
Cute addition, instead of pointing out real flaws, you just try to make a general claim you can't defend.
2 of my friends are Muslim, 1 of my friends is Christian and me and my 2 others are atheists. We get along absolutely fine. i have no idea why there's a huge shitstorm over religion, let people believe what they believe plus being atheist doesn't mean you have to be intolerant of religion, i go to friend's prayers all the time. I just sit by and watch/listen, it's interesting to learn new things (for me)

As far as I'm concerned, we all live in the stomach of a kirby, also, be a secular humanist, it makes life better.

It doesn't affect me, again, nobody really gives two shits about what religion other people are unless they are radicals or else just a butthurt athiest who is sad that his friends are doing something he isn't.
I have to disagree from my experience as an atheist, I remember the day in 8th grade when some random girl asked me during class if I believe in god, a resounding "not really" brought every single person's eyes in the class room to me, some whispering, and a classic line of "but you'll go to hell!? OMFG" Religion didn't matter until that day, and now everywhere I go, although notably I don't bring up the topic, people treat me differently because they know I'm an atheist, and three girls now have liked me but refused to date me because I'm an atheist. Point: A lot of people don't care about religion, and at the same time, a lot of people do care and treat me differently because of it, I have around 6 different people doing their best every day to convert me and trying to "save me" but avast, it all meets with failure because all of their arguments appeal to emotion and nothing else. Personally, I don't care, but when you honestly believe that I deserve to burn in a pit of eternal fire because I don't believe your religion, it's offensive, and brings reason for conflict

Not once have I been judged from someone for not believing in their things.

So you want me to blindly follow a book? on top of that, one day my friend did a little prank where he put a beat up old bible in my backpack. so i picked it up and hucked it over my shoulders behind me and this girl starts screaming "Why did you hrow a bible?!?!?!?" Because it's a book is all i said.

if this thread doesn't get locked i really want to see how many posts will be in it by tomorrow :v:
How is putting a bible in your backpack a prank?
He knows i'm not too fond of religion
He knows i'm not too fond of religion
Oh okay
Just let people believe what they want to, if they try and push their beliefs onto you then tell them to piss off.
@OP i think you created this thread to: 1. Piss christians off 2. Watch a flame war destroy the thread and eventually degrade to "OMG U R DUM GOD SUX OMG" and "OMG F U THA BIBLE SED SO"
@OP Fucking idiot
It's lame how people stereotype any type of religious follower into having the same mindset, I'm moderately religious but I'm also majoring in cellular/molecular/microbial biology and with that whole free thought thing I can choose to believe in evolution and I can choose to think that the old testament is nothing but fictional stories meant for teaching. However that doesn't mean that science keeps me from believing in some form of an afterlife or from keeping faith in the existence of God. There also isn't anything in religion that keeps me from putting effort into what I'm doing.
@OP Fucking idiot
also truth
Me = Frayyyy Ideals.
Not that I read past your third sentence due to your horrid English, but I'll just say that you have the wrong idea. God doesn't control everything. He initiated humanity and left us to evolve and become civilized. Everything that happened wrong is entirely our fault if not just bad luck.
Ty for replying for me, i was gonna say the same thing :)
Me = Frayyyy Ideals.
Awesome :]
