• What's your best cure for sadness/depression?

If you're already in a depressed state, any form of distraction is best. If you have the motivation: walk. Otherwise try playing a game, listening to music loudly (while moving your body to keep the blood flowing - it helps release endorphins and that sort of biochemistry crap) or my favourite, just take a nap. If you think you're heading for a depressed state, try and counter the thought spiral with logic and reasoning. If you can't counter it, work on fixing /that/ when you're not depressed otherwise it'll only make you worse off in the long run. Talk to yourself, analyse your thoughts and try to figure out why you feel the way you do. If you don't fix the problem, then you're just as good as fucked... because medication isn't a quick fix and it's not a long term fix either - it's only there to help you get the motivation you need to deal with your issues.
Games, looking at cats, watching porn and listen to my favourite things
going outside, taking a long walk while listening to music also going to some place nice like somewhere in the middle of nothing or some important place that you have memories of, preferrably the good ones
Think optimistically
Snuggling with my dog, or listen to my favorite music.

Take a note block. Write down why you're sad/depressed. Get out the feelings. Don't leave yourself hanging with it, tell people, talk to friends, write it down. Some people write hell long facebook statuses. Don't lay down in bed and sleep like others do. Because if you're sad. You'll be thinking about it, sleeping bad. Go outside, take long walks. I know this from personal experience.

If you've got a park nearby or somewhere quiet outside to hang out then it's always better to be active and do something.
The Beatles. Though what i basically mean is music.
Play Garry's Mod
Spin.
Go to my parents, they also do something that I feel better
go to the gym.
Listen to Renard and browse Facepunch.
Log onto youtube, look up NintendoCapriSun, pick an LP of my choice, then watch 'til I'm happy. Usually only takes a couple parts.
This might sound dumb and stuff like that, but when I'm depressed I smoke weed and listen to some good music. Always gets me in a good mood, makes me forget about all the bad shit that's haunting my brain
Music, happy music, (also important that its not beautiful sounding, which can result into even more deeper thinking) happy music without any beautiful melodies etc etc
Virtually no matter what, whenever I think to listen to this song when I'm down I always get cheered up, especially while watching the video too.
vocaloid music
videogames, music, or go do something with friends, it's good to not be alone when you're sad
SWEET RAVE PARTY! /c (skip to 3:20 to go straight in an epic world of colored flashing epileptic lights)
:fappery:
I listen to soft songs until I can slowly shift into harder songs. Granted most of my 'soft' songs are still metal or hard rock, they're still the softest thing in my library. After I cheer up enough, I shift into a different playlist that has harder songs and eventually want to do something productive/distracting and go off to do that. It's not efficient, but it's better than sitting and thinking about it.
So, facepunch, how do you fix yourself when you're sad/depressed? I sit down and browse facepunch.
MS Dos 5 [img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/MS-DOS5.png[/img_thumb]
I pretty much just deal with or go on facepunch and play some video games while fapping to porn.
Bobby McFerrin "Don't worry be happy" this song always cheers me up.
