Mute, I like playing and listening to music too much. I need to be able to feel and hear to play, and its so much easier to do stuff when you can see. So what if I have to type/type everything I wish to communicate. Maybe I could even get a Stephen Hawking type dealie.

When youre numb you cannot feel your body, meaning that you cannot know when you move your bodyparts, in other words you have zero control of your limbs... Being mute is the best thing here, you dont need your voice. As long as you can hear and see. I have 30% hearing and quite bad eyesight, both declining. It seems I do not have a choice.

From most acceptable to worst is, mute, deaf, numb, blind and finally death. Mute is the least worst because you can still do most things. You can't talk, but this can easily be 'bypassed' by writing, typing or whatever. You can also still enjoy most things. Deaf would be absolutely terrible, it's no music and no sound, but I can live with it I think. Numbness would be even worse, you can't enjoy most things anymore, but I can't say life ain't worth living anymore. Blindness would be almost the worst, not being able to see is an absolute disaster and you have to rely on other people. You can't enjoy most things anymore except things like music. You can't play video games and you don't know who's in the room unless they make sounds. I would even consider suicide.

Dumb.

I think I'd have to go with either blind or mute.

I'd go with blind. I can live with seeing only inner beauty, I can live without TV, I would get a seeing eye dog.. But taking my music away from me means war.
