Had a great Christmas, my Grandmother is here visiting and my brothers came up. Had a big meal then played some card games.
Got some new bird guides because I will be taking ornithology in the spring and a really nice pair of digital calipers for my upcoming salamander research. Plus some chocolate, clothes, cash, gift cards, etc.
I am also getting some new binoculars but they wanted to wait and let me pick them out myself.
Since I've imbibed enough liquid cheer for two men, I feel it's important to say that you're all pretty cool people (even the ones that don't seem it) and I hope that life does you well.

My mother knitted me a very nice hat. I really like it and will use it despite it not being necessary with there being no snow or cold whatsoever. But it makes me happy.
