My friend's car broke down so I was not able to go to the herpetology event today. So we took the boat out and checked all the turtle traps instead. Going to grab some salamanders this afternoon then do some night herping tonight for some frogs.

I tabbed this song for frets on fire today and reunited with my girl after 2 months of her being gone (doesn't seem long but neither of us expected her to come back) and she's moving here permanently in the next few months. Also, I just did a two-minute long plank during my exercise instead of my normal one minute.

Today is good day.

Went night herping in the preserve at my college. Three hours of walking knee deep through a swamp.

Then there were some chicks dressed as princesses, who invited us to watch another group of girls serenade them. Then for the finale we were asked to be stand in princes for them to act out a scene with. After that I was walking back to my dorm I was filmed proclaiming "Never give up, never surrender" for a different group of girls.

I fucking love college.

I feel like I should explain this better than I did last night. There was a video scavenger hunt on campus last night and the princesses were a station. We were talking to them when some people in the hunt came up. The hunt also included the "Never give up, never surrender" thing, swimming naked in the school fountain, borrowing condoms, etc.

The turtle population is part of an ongoing study on Red eared slider X Yellow bellied slider hybrids, they are also going to be used to teach people about reptiles at an upcoming community outreach event. Biologists do far more for animal welfare than most "activist" groups like PETA.

So I've been on a bit of an Evil Dead kick and decided to see if there were any good Ash figures.
NECA had some pretty sweet ones, but the price is pretty steep (I usually only pay in the $20 range for figures).
Luckily, I got a late birthday gift in the form of $40.
The way I see it, I recieved this beautiful thing plus $5 on the side, and I'm cool with that.

The only downside is that it's supposed to arrive in like the first week of May, which sucks, but you can't beat free shipping.

One thing that makes me really happy and brights up future plans for me - I am moving of out Latvia this summer, to London. FUCK YEA. This country sucks, and it absolutely hates russians or native-russian-speakers. Good example - government wanted to lay off mayor of Riga(capital city I live in) for being russian, while he has made more the city[I](free public transport for students, yay)[/I] than the actual government itself for [I]years[/I]. Plus I have latvian language. Was studying it for 9 years so far(school, eh) and I still can't for proper sentences on it. London is so much better than Riga, I just loved it. Mostly because [B]there is no fucking latvian language and no russian-hating people[/B]. Hopefully I'll get used to new culture fast enough when I'll move there.
