Managed to destroy my teacher's steel ego for once.
Not that I hate her or something, I like her but I never managed to win discussions from her until now.
Basically, we have a lot of power outages in our classroom due to a breaker pushed close to its limits.
Now one of the computers started acting up, and out of boredom I have been examining a bit what's up with it. Remembered that it showed a error message which can be interpreted to the CMOS battery before. So I tested my theory: Unplugged the machine and booted again, ''default BIOS values have been loaded''. Because these computers are designed for Windows 8 but run Windows 7 they require some tweaks in the BIOS settings.
Now the thing is, my teacher told me I need to stop involving myself with computer issues, but I simply ignore that.
Today a employee of the IT supplier came in to check it out, and I explained him what I found out, so he tested my theory and unplugged the machine and restored power again and booted it. You had to see my teachers face when he said ''Damn, your right''.
I know this is a bit childish, but damn, I finally managed to beat her with our talkative games we are doing every now and then for fun measures.
Seeing people who think this is real.

Friend was having foot cramps in the morning for the past few days. Told him to put a bar of soap under his covers, and apparently it works. I can't confirm if this actually does anything, but my family has been doing it for a long time and I've never once woken up with a foot cramp or had one the day after sleeping in a bed that somebody put soap under the covers.
Hopefully this wive's tale is true and he won't get them anymore.

Since I'm going on a few holidays this year and might be doing some adventurous stuff, I decided to buy a GoPro.
I noticed an Amazon page had what I thought was the latest model (Hero3 Black) for £250, down from £359 ($600 down to $415) and I thought 'Sweet!' and ordered one pretty much instantly. I realized after the order had been dispatched that the only difference between their latest model and the one I bought is the + (New is 'Hero3+ Black' instead of 'Hero3 Black', which I think is kinda confusing/dumb)
Anyway, after looking all through the Amazon page and realizing that there are order pages for the Hero3+ model which are $600, I got a little bit sad and thought, at least I have one anyway and the difference between them isn't THAT major, though I did read that in the newest model had fixed a lot of complaints.
Come delivery time, I whapped it out of the box and realized that they had actually sent me a Hero3+ Black. So yeah, I got the latest GoPro for almost $200 less than its retail price. Made a small timelapse out of my window over the course of a few hours just to give it a go, turned out alright quality I think, but Youtube seems to darken videos at some point during processing so its kinda hard to see the canals as well as the source video.
