Had an amazing time at the herpetological congress! Got some sweet posters, a new field guide, and a snake mug from the gift store. Got tons of stuff free including some books and a box turtle DVD. Won a pewter frog in the silent auction and got an awesome set of gentle giant snake tongs in the live auction (got into a bit of a bid war for those).

Went into the field today to some newly acquired land that has never been studied herpetologically, we were the first to log what species where at the location. This meant we photographed and took GPS coordinates whenever we found a specimen. We found 2 salamander, 4 lizard, 4 snake, 1 turtle, and 3 frog species.

My friend's girlfriend has this HUMONGOUS cat.
Seriously, it's bigger than most small dogs.
My friend picked it up and it was the size of his torso, I mean it could probably swallow a toddler whole.

That little kitten is most likely going to get big as it's of Siberian breed.
It was funny when I had to get myself a toothpick to stop myself from biting my fingers and then the little cat got intrigued by my toothpick and decided to give it a taste too.

My parents were cooking in the kitchen while listening to the radio earlier today and the song "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You") by James Taylor came on the station and my Dad pulled my Mom over and kissed her and they just started dancing with each other while it played. It's crazy how they've been married for 22 years but they still seem to love eachother just as much as the day they tied the knot.

Got my latest evolution exam back today, I made another perfect score. I have somehow managed to get a perfect score on every exam in that course this year. The exams are all essay and short answer and the class average was in the mid eighties, so I am feeling pretty good. Got some great feedback on my essay on the evolution of the articular and quadrate bones into the malleus and incus.
