We knew one of our long term females had laid eggs but due to the size of our enclosure and the amount of loose soil and cover we had not found any of the hatchlings until today. It will be raised up till it is big enough to get past the mortality curve then it will be released.
When a shift at work proceeds without any drama and isn't so busy. I also have a day off to boot. :D
Well, getting my teeth deep cleaned didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would.

Box turtles have a really high mortality rate when they are young but once they get older and develop their henge they do alright.

Today I bought A Dose Of Buckley's [I]Nerd Rants[/I] and enjoyed it.
(I had about 22dkk in my bank which would probably be really annoying to get)
It also makes me happy to support someone who puts his content up for free without ads.
I was sitting in my gazebo trying to take a picture of a spider web, and all of the sudden I hear this loud buzzing sound, and I look up, and a teeny little hummingbird is hovering like a foot in front of my face, and he's peeping makin' little cute noises, and I could see his little footies all tucked up under him. He stayed there for about 10 seconds, and it was the cutest thing ever. I tried to take a picture, but I couldn't move so I had to just guess where the camera was pointing, and I got about 4 pictures of the sky, but it was still super cool, and really cute.
