I try to make the character movements realistic and the game look like its being played as a movie.
My ammo doesn't have to be an even number, but I HAVE to reload after every kill. This is why me and machine guns don't get along in most games.
in GTA:IV if i get a minor bump, i MUST do the repair cheat via phone. I always have my cars looking nice. And on BF2:BC Vietnam, if im the NVA i must use the ak47 as the assault, and if im the US, i always use the m16. It feels more organized and realistic, then rather a US soldier spawning with a ak47.
I do this even when goddamn mapping. It gets annoying.
Control + s
There's always a voice in the back of my head saying " you MUST rape them " when I see a person in a video game
That is not normal, you're going to become a rapist. [editline]28th December 2010[/editline]
Good to see that i'm not the only Paragon whore.
I'm such a Paragon whore that I have no visible Renegade and a full Paragon bar. +2 Renegade? RESTART! Missed Paragon action? RESTART!
Am I invincible? Well, I best be safe and duct behind objects occasionally until the enemy stops firing.
In STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, MUST PICK EVERY BODY CLEAN. PRICES TOO HIGH. MUST SELL FOR FOOD.
Quicksave at every given opportunity in HL2 and the Mass Effect series. And reloading every time the coast is clear in most games, regardless of how much ammo i have. This proved detrimental when I first played Mass Effect, when R was bound to Grenade.
Im also prone to pointing out the errors on weapons or any object in a video game.
Shooting gas canisters/other explosives, even if there's a chance they'll kill me. In some FPS's, shooting dead civilians in the head to make sure they're not suffering in a coma :smith: Examining enemy corpses so I can remember every.last.detail about their model.
I love to take items that I'll never use :(
In Fallout NV I stock up on a shitload of food and then before a battle I use them all up and I'm invincible for like, 20 seconds, or until they shoot me 50 times.
I love to jump around in games and try to use various objects (ie Hl2 Crates and barrels) and the levels to jump to various places im not really supposed to get to such as: On top of npc's heads, on top of tables, cabinets, on the ledges of buildings, etc. I really wish someone would publish a game with that kind of weird twitch jumping as its primary mechanic.
Mirror's Edge
I have a problem where I constantly mash certain buttons. When I'm playing a game on Xbox I'll always have to hit the B and Y buttons alot and when I'm on PC I end up mashing the WASD keys. Gets really annoying sometimes especially when I fall off a cliff and have to reload because I was obsessively mashing my keyboard.
I try to make the character movements realistic and the game look like its being played as a movie.
This. I rotate 180 degree in fps games when I go to cover like they do in movies.
I hate spending any money I have. All my gear in Fallout 3 is better than every shopkeeper's inventory put together, and that's all from looting.
I hate spending any money I have. All my gear in Fallout 3 is better than every shopkeeper's inventory put together, and that's all from looting.
I cheated in Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I gave myself like 1000000 caps. I removed a lot of them recently, because I'd prefer playing fair.
In Minecraft: - I organize my chest and loadout based on item functionality. For example, the first row is basic resources, the second is refined resources (think smelted metals), etc. - I dig earth to make it seem natural - I don't leave man-made holes of dirt/stone everywhere. - I make sure all my stacks of items are even.
I press the flashlight key twice randomly. AND CAPS LOCK.
I have to hack everything in Bioshock but NEVER use my auto hacks. It makes it so much less scary walking into a dark room when the sound of your cloud of security bots zooming around your head overruns the insane muttering of the Splicers. Also take pictures of everything before I kill it even if I've already researched the crap out of it or don't need to at all. If a friendly NPC gets killed I snap a picture if I know whats coming. [sp]I even took a picture of the submarine before Atlas' family was killed[/sp]

I liked how BF2 was, where each side got their own stuff except for unlockables. Though they should take it a step further imo; Unlockables should come in pairs, 1 for each side. An example would be AK-103 for Russians and HK417 for Americans.
Anytime I turn my mouse all the way around to get a 360 degree view of what's around me, I sometimes get this strange feeling in my head... like, I don't know how to explain it really... It's like my mouse is "out of alignment" or some weird shit like that and I have to turn my mouse (and myself when i'm ingame) back around in the opposite direction until the feeling goes away... I know I should probably see a doctor about this... But hey, playing as many games as I have as long as I have, it's to be expected... Still... :ohdear:
you're not alone, I do this a lot. If I turn around 180 degrees I have to turn back the way I came. If I turn and make a 360 after I've done whatever I needed to do I'll spin around in the opposite direction. Does anyone know a word to define this oddity? The only way I can describe it is "unbalanced". If I spin in one direction I have to spin in the other or else it drives me nuts! I get this in real life too. Like if I crack my knuckles on one hand, it has to be done on the other or it will be "unbalanced".
Have a tendency to hoard weapons and ammo like mad, then not use them for fear of running out.
Loot everything.
In Fallout NV, I tend to walk (not run) inside cities. Also, I must not have any kind of armor on inside buildings, or on the strip. I need to carry a suit with me all the time, and I must "realisticly" respond to characters. I also like to turn off the HUD in various games. And just enjoy the graphics.

In Oblivion I never sleep in Inns without putting some civilian clothes on.
Compulsive reloading [editline]26th December 2010[/editline] But I know I'm not the only one doing that. My spare ammunition has to be an even amount.
this and I have a habit of running constantly in COD... That gets me killed alot :(
In Amnesia I try to be polite against the zombies in case they just want to have a normal discussion and maybe just get out of that place. They never do. Also in Oblivion I try to become friends with everyone. Whether they want to or not.
When I play GTA, I can't deal with the car being broken at all, even a scratch. I either blow it up or abandon it and grab a new one.
I act and behave as if I'm one of the characters in the game. My character that is. Buy regular things, have a schedule, sleep.
